Ha!

Getting to sound a lot like Dallas. Glad I'm not there, btw.

We lived in Happy Valley for three years in the early 70's. Still know several jokes that Saints find offensive.

Difference between LSD and LDS? "One is a drug, one is a dope."

Never heard that one!

My sister went to Utah State in Logan for a year. She came back and finished her degree at the University of Illinois in Champagne/Urbana.

She still has interesting things to say about her time there.....

What will happen when Moroni blows his horn? The Hotel Utah will be covered with bird shit.

(Moroni on top of the Temple pointed at the hotel)

"Moroni" is that statue on top of all the temples?

Yes

I must say I like and respect most Latter Day Saints. Good people, for the most part. I don't agree with their faith. I once worked for a company owned by two brothers, both high church officers, as were other men working there. Never felt I was treated wrongly because of religion.

Amen to your last comment, WSF.
I don't agree with 'em, but...
If you get into trouble in ANY way, the LDS "Church" will be there to support you.
A couple of my best friends are Mormons. ;)

Our family histories, paternal and maternal, are intertwined with the Latter Day Saints being settlers in the western part of Colorado and Wyoming. When my maternal grandparents had a house fire in Cottonwood, AZ (where they retired from Wyoming) their LDS neighbors were quicker to help than my grandmother's Methodist church.

I didn't know that you had people in Cottonwood. If you go to visit, let me know. I'll drive off the mountain.

Not since the 1960's. My maternal grandparents passed away decades ago. They were Era and Hattie Burtis.
