OLD AGE AND TREACHERY WILL OVERCOME YOUTH AND SKILL. And on the eighth day God said, "Okay, Murphy, you're in charge!" The mind says, "Age is just a number". The 81 year old body says, "You are an idiot". Anonymous comments will not be posted.

Obama's Lifestyle
Seem to recall the Obamas were Chicago lawyers
who surrendered their law licenses (what lawyer does that?).
Neither from a
wealthy family. Eight years in the White House and now living a high roller jet
set lifestyle. Where did they get the money?
Sure, sure, know about the book deals.
Maybe other sources? HUD can’t account
for a half billion dollars.
After Obama made his deal with the
Iranians, literal pallets of currency was shipped to Iran. Did it all get
there?
Did he get to “wet his beak” in the
Clinton Foundation? The Clinton Global Initiative? Inquiring minds, etc.
Obama’ Legacy? Corruption on a mammoth
scale IMO.

Making Nice
See where Obama is calling for everyone to accept the results of the election blah blah blah.
My cynical and suspicious mind thinks he is laying the ground for a Gerald Ford - Richard Nixon situation. I think we all know some real ugly shit will be coming out from Shillary's emails, the Clinton RICO, and at what level Obama is involved, just saying.
Nah, couldn't happen.

Secret Service and The Lightbringer
What happens when leaders aren’t
respected by their subordinates? Often the subordinates go rouge. Consider the
Secret Service. Fairly high opinion held by the public. With the Lightbringer
in office that has changed.
Not to mention leaking details about a
Congressman’s earlier application to join them.
My guess is the agent despises Obama and
his crew. They will physically protect his ass but have such low morale that
when temptations come around, they say, “Fuck it, let’s go for it”.

Conversation with a Liberal
Liberal. "You are against President Obama because he is black"!
My response. "No, I'm against him because he is a stuttering clusterfuck. The only reason you are defending him is because he is black".

Vicious, Sacrilegious, and Made Me Laugh
Shamelessly taken off Facebook.
One
way to have all your Christian Fundamentalist friends un-friend you is this.
“The
largest experiment ever conducted in history on the power of prayer proved
conclusively that prayer does not work when Obama got elected a second term.
I know, exposes my lack of good character. Sorry, that is the way I sometimes roll.

What If?
President
Obama is planning to visit Peking in November. What if China invades Taiwan
during his visit and holds him hostage? He has already shown his weakness. What
would he give up to save his precious ass? Damn sure, it is not to die for his
country.
Things would
go pear shaped very quickly. Joe Biden puts his foot in it often, but I don’t
think he is a wuss. Hopefully, B.O. has enough smarts not to take him with him
on the trip, and the Chinese realize Biden will act.
Wonder if this possibility will be presented to B.O. at his daily briefings that interfere with his tee times?
OK, I know,
I’ve too much time on my hands and an overactive imagination.
As an aside,
I deliberately use Peking, and a Hawaiian love sign to the Communists and what
they prefer.

Denial
Taken from a Facebook posting by a long term resident of the People's Republic of Boulder, CO.
Yessir, can't admit that they, just possible, made a mistake.

Lights On For The Progressive's View Of The Lightbringer?
Reading “the other side” stuff on the Internet makes me realize they see as much to criticize Obama as does the right. This article isn’t, IMO, too profound, but the 200+ comments are surprising.
What
surprised me was the amount of negative Hillary comments, and the criticism of
the MSM along with the scathing Obama remarks. Looks like the next presidential
election run up will be “interesting.”
I have hope,
faint though it is, that there are many non free cheese sheeple left in the
country.

Tired of Being Called a Racist
I’m so tired
of being called a racist when I criticize Obama. Why does he get a pass because
of his skin color? How racist is it to think, or say, someone’s performance can’t
be discussed because of their race; that they are somehow inferior and need to
be protected? That they are judged by a lesser standard? That is plain
bullshit!
Any long
term readers of this blog (boy, are you a glutton for punishment) know I criticized
George W. Bush. His assault on the Constitution by way of his “signing
statements” was as wrong as Obama’s trying to rule by fiat. The economic mess created by removing the
firewall between commercial and investment banks continue to drag us down. The
end game on that is financial ruin for the common citizen.
Methinks the
Obama supporters are beginning to sense the disaster that his administration is
proving to be, and they can’t stand the idea they were duped. It’s time for
that Egyptian River.
Now, when
they play their race card, my response, mentally or verbally, is, “Is that all
you got?”
Am I a
racist? Most assuredly, I have some deep seated racist thoughts and feelings. I
can say I have never discriminated against anyone in the workplace based on
their skin color, ethnic makeup, religion or sex. Socially? I hope not. I do reserve the option of treating assholes
like assholes, and do so with some vigor.

Rudderless Ship of State
Dick Morris
had a disturbing video up on 11/5, talking about how Obama’s lies will start
hampering his ability to maneuver. He goes on to talk about past Presidents and
how their lies and/or missteps hampered them. A similar article appeared in PJ Media.
Worth a listen/read.
None of this
prompts any joy on my part. While I loath him, his cronies, and the Chicago
style politics, we are stuck with him. We don’t need another Jimmy Carter
sitting in the Rose Garden picking fuzz off his sweater. As a rudderless ship
of state wanders, the Rahl Emanuels of the world flourish, pushing their own
agendas. I came of age during the Johnson Administration and the chaos of
Vietnam and the stateside riots. I don’t want to see that again.
Another
view, in PJ Media, of the Middle East and the Lightbringer.
Maybe I like
this because I’ve always believed we should stay the hell out of their affairs
and let them settle their own problems. It is not our job to change the world.
Yes, I am an isolationist.
Just
finishing reading, “All Hands Down” by Kenneth Sewell, a book about the loss of
the USS Scorpion. My biggest conclusion is Walker should be taken to sea and
dumped into shark filled waters several minutes after several buckets of chum
have been dumped.
Don’t know
why a landlubber like me is interested in things Navy. The closest I’ve been
was a trip on a troop ship, and operating a 27’ Bridge Erection Boat in the
Engineers. Many less enlightened relatives were, or are currently, sailors. We
even have a couple of naval infantry in the mix.
Here is a
nasty threat looming regarding Obamacare. Have children, don’t have health
insurance? Expect a visit from Child Protective Services.
The move is
proceeding on schedule. The recently acquired property inspection client I’ve
dropped. What they required was too much brain damage for not enough money.
Shocking, to those who know me, was a sober reflection of the risks verses my
age. Climbing around snow covered structures taking measurements is dangerous,
and I don’t heal as fast as in my younger days. Someone will undoubtedly accuse
me of using common sense. Alas, I must carry that burden.

Bad Political Analogy?
Progressive
and Liberals are scattered about in my extended family, and among many of my
friends. I’m beginning to see something akin to a bad marriage coming apart.
They finally got one of theirs elected, much like they might have met and married the spouse they always dreamed of. It is slowly dawning on them they made a huge mistake; he wasn’t anything like they thought he would be, but they have too much invested. Hurts too much to admit they were mistaken about their dream candidate. Can’t criticize him, because that would be racist, and their white guilt burden lurks in the background. There is their belief the country needed a black president. Like someone defending their spouse against outside criticism, they defend the spouse fiercely, loyal to the end. But inside, what are they feeling?
I don’t
doubt the patriotism or love of country of these people, and certainly don’t
expect them to always agree with me. Somehow, we keep our disagreements civil
and respectful. Again, these are people I’ve known for many years.
I feel for
them over the next three years as their emotional marriage to this stuttering
clusterfuck comes apart, but not too much. I reserve my feelings for the damage
done to this country, the wasted opportunities, and the human costs they have
foisted off on the rest of us.
Bushes fault? Anyone that thinks I was ever a Bush supporter need only read my blog entry #300.

Can You Say Midterm Elections?

Zealots
Warning: Long, tedious political rant to follow.
Grew up in a staunch Republican household. My father was, for many years, the county committeeman. Ran for sheriff. Won the primary, lost the general. Mother ran for city council, lost. Numerous relatives, in adjoining counties, held party offices. Being involved in the political process was an obligation, as was voting, and joining the service. It was what one was excepted to do.
Leading up to the Reagan years, the Evangelicals made a push to enter the political arena. School boards, city councils, county organizations, and then state organizations. They took over the Republican Party. They were intolerant of any opposing opinions. Brass knuckle politics. They were so upset with me, they found a candidate to run for Precinct Captain, an elective office at the time. If no one ran, then the party could appoint someone. They worked the precinct as hard to defeat me as they did to elect Ronnie. I lost by ten or so votes. After turning in the materials in my possession to the “proper authorities”, went to the Democrat headquarters, picked up the same material, as was appointed Democrat Precinct Captain. Delivered my precinct to the Democrats in the next two elections, until I moved to a different location.
The main difference between the two parties was the Dems had a hell of a lot more fun. Instead of Chicken ala King at the Holiday Inn, they had a cash bar at a Longshoreman’s hangout. Things that were very important to me seemed to be in line with their platforms. Since I was never a lock step Republican, I was never a lock step Democrat. Had some hellacious arguments.
I’ve now watched the Progressives take over the Democratic Party in much the same fashion as the Evangelicals took over the Republican Party. If you ignore the philosophies, the rhetoric, and the goals, there is little difference between the Evangelicals and the Progressives in the way they act, operate, and their intolerance.
I do see the Progressives doing far more damage to the country than the Evangelicals ever did. Still, the difference between Barry Obama and Tom, The Hammer” DeLay is minor; they are both thugs. Wouldn’t it be lovely if Barry joined Tommy in the lists of convicted felons?
Need I say I despise the Progressives and Evangelicals equally?

Racist Rant
Two “minority”
members at my last job (one Chicano, one Black), are Obama supporters. They
have convinced themselves any Caucasian who opposes Obama does so because he is
“black”. Therefore, any failures on Obama’s part aren’t his fault because White
racists are opposing everything he does.
Hear the
same line from White Liberals. It must
be comforting to have a scapegoat so you don’t need to look closely at your
hero and his feet of clay. You can
dismiss any criticism by labeling the critic a “racist” and avoid considering
the argument
.
“Oh, poor
Berry. Look at the mess he inherited.” It seems now he has inherited his own
four year mess. Still, it is blame Bush,
and blame White racists.
As an aside,
anyone who thinks I ever supported Bush need only read some of my old postings.
Just who is
the racist? A person of color, or a woman, in positions of authority can’t be criticized?
Why, because they should be immune on grounds of political correctness; that
they somehow need “special” dispensation? Why, are they less capable than a “white
male” and need coddling?
Yes, I know,
I’m pissing into the wind. What bothers
me the most is the polarization of the people who do involve themselves, who
are not sheeple, and the lack of simple courtesy. I’ve never seen such deep
animosity, and I was in both the Army and college in the 60’s. I saw up close
and personal, the antiwar and civil rights uproars.

Hate Being Right, Right Now
On August 29th, I posted this blog.

Now we have four more years of the same misery and loss of freedoms the past four have brought.

Yard Sign Wars
Had business this morning in the Peoples Republic of Boulder, both City and County; by far the highest percentage of registered Democrats in Colorado. Escaped before the street closures for tonight's visit by the Lightbringer (how many times now?). I was very surprised to see about as many Romney signs as Obama signs.
The GOP holds the high ground, literally. On the ridges flanking US 36, the main corridor between Boulder and Denver, there are many Romney signs with letters ten to twelve feet high.
Where I live in Adams County, the affiliated registered voters are about 58% Democrat. My unscientific count of yard signs is about 70% Romney.
Yesterday I was in El Paso County (Colorado Springs) population 636,000 and Teller County (Cripple Creek), population 22,000. This is GOP country. I saw maybe four Obama signs.
Since Colorado is supposedly as swing state, think Romney has a good chance. Denver County is heavy Democrat, population 619,000. Adams, maybe Democrat, population 451,000. Surrounding Denver is Arapahoe County, leans Democrat, population 584,000, Broomfiled County, even split, population 57,000 and Jefferson, even split, population 539,000. Statewide, the big "players" are Pueblo County, Democrat, population 159,000, Douglas County, Republican leaning, population 292,000, Larimer County, Republican leaning, population 303,000, Weld County, Republican leaning, 253,000, and Mesa County (Grand Junction), Republican, population 147,000.
Colorado has 64 counties. Most of the rural counties go GOP. This is a change from as little as 20 years ago. The counties that were reliable Democrat are "infested" with Blue Dog Democrats. As I've said in previous blogs, the Blue Dogs are sitting on their hands and wallets.
Why I talk about yard signs is that they are a visual sign of voter enthusiasm which translates into "worker bees" out knocking on doors and making phone calls. From what I see, the GOP is out hustling the Democrats in Colorado. Getting out the vote is key to getting elected.

Disgust
When you request an absentee ballot in Colorado, that, along with your telephone number if you give it, is a public record and available to campaign workers. Today, received a phone call from a lady on behalf of the Obama campaign.
She asked if I had sent in my ballot; if I had voted for Obama. Told her I hadn’t sent in my ballot and I hadn’t made up my mind. (Not exactly a lie. About Obama, made up my mind about him in the first sixty days he was in office. Still mulling over local candidates, judges, and ballot issues.)
We chatted for awhile. We know each other through local politics. I explained I was a Blue Dog who is very angry with the “Progressives”. Her ringing endorsement of Obama? “Well, he is certainly better than the other guy.” She went on to denounce the “other guy”, never mentioning him by name. Loyal party worker, doing her part, one of the year in, year out types, and that is her level of enthusiasm?
What a fucking statement about this election. Yeah, I’m voting for Romney. Not because I like him but because he is “certainly better than the other guy.” Shit!
The local campaign office is just three blocks away. Will wander over that way for coffee and conversation. Better than a singles bar for meeting women. Yes, I know. I’m disgusting.
End of the day, be a citizen, get involved, vote! Hold your nose if you must but vote!
