 Colorado’s “Gold Standard” Election Integrity

Yeah, right.

MORE

I will be receiving my mail in primary election ballots this week, one for each party. I can only fill out one.

Wyoming Coal

The industry is getting a boost thanks to President Trump. Placing a coal terminal in Oakland does two things. First, frosting the ass of econazis. Second, making USA coal available to Asian countries.

MORE

Other areas will prosper, politics permitting. Northwest Colorado has huge deposits of coal, for instance.

Perhaps naval experts can help. With a dredged depth of 50’, will the Oakland Terminal be able to service the largest bulk carriers?

Gun Haters Rejoice

Colorado saw a sharp decline in Federal Firearms Licensees (FFLs), with 189 dealers closing or surrendering their licenses during a single recent 6-month period, outpacing new openings. State associations report that out of more than 2,100 FFLs operating in the state, only about 800 applied for new mandatory state permits following recent legislative changes.

The Godfather of current restrictive firearms laws is Ronald Reagan when he was Governor of California. He, and others, shit their pants when lawful citizens exercised their 2nd Amendment rights.

They rushed through the California Assembly “gun laws” that have morphed into today’s hellish mess.

Sadly, West Virginia Attorney John H Bryan’s, “My freedoms don’t end where your fears begin. Freedom is scary, deal with it”, wasn’t around then. Would it have mattered?

Many hold President Reagan in high regard. If it were an attitude back then, I had Reagan Derangement Syndrome. No need to go into the tiresome details at this late date.

“President” Polis

Now nearing the end of his term, he is aiming for the Democrat nomination in 2028, IMO. He is now trying to build credibility as fearless, pragmatic, libertarian, etc., with a large number of veto’s of (P)regressive wet dream bills passed in the last Legislative session as proof.

There is the Tina Peters move.

Don’t count him out. He is highly intelligent, personally wealthy, and has an ability to use other people’s money deftly. His sexual orientation won’t be an obstacle with Democrats.

Car Story

Hope this isn’t a repeat.

Occasionally dealing with customers you get stuck and can’t come up with anything to say. The technique I learned was to let your mind go blank, open your mouth and whatever comes out will probably work.

The Seattle area has a large Chinese population. I always liked having them for a customer. While it was hard to make a profit on them, they came to buy a car. They rarely lied and the Chinatown branch of Seattle First Bank would finance them.

The Ford store I worked at always had six or eight sales units on the weekend. These were bare bones and priced dirt cheap. We never, under any circumstances, sold them for less than the sales price.

Two Chinese were on the lot. One was the buyer, the second was the negotiator. They landed on a Taurus.

The negotiator asked, “What you price?”, in an  aggressive tone. I pointed to the sales price in the window.

“Too high”, he said. No surprise there.

“These are special sales cars. The owner won’t let us sell them for less”.

“Why your owner won’t let you sell for less?”, in both an aggressive and aggrieved tone of voice.

Blank mind. What came out was, “The owner is a Jew”.

“Oh, Jew! Tougher than Chinese. What your interest rate?”

An hour later they left in the Taurus.

 As always, YMMV

I'm A Bigot. Are You?

Yes, I am a bigot

Currently going through the hassle of fighting unauthorized charges to my credit cards from places where I’ve cancelled my account. Some have been going on for two years. All have one thing in common; the speakers have Indian, like Southeast Asia, accents. Going forward, I will no longer do business with Indians. They join Iranian car dealers and Russian mechanics on my list.

Does that mean I’m a bigot? Do I care if I am? No more dealing with people with the ethics of a starving piranha

 Hissy Fit

What do the moves by the Trump Administration to restore some common sense to the EPA mean to staff? Short term, these holier than thou environment warriors will need to find real jobs. Good luck!

Don’t count on NGOs to fund your cushy gigs, Trump is kneecapping them.

Emperor Polis has no clothes

President Donald Trump posted on Wednesday that two Democratic governors will not be invited to a bipartisan meeting and dinner next week. Gov. Jared Polis is one of them.

“The invitations were sent to ALL Governors, other than two, who I feel are not worthy of being there,” Trump wrote on Truth Social, referring to Polis and Governor Wes Moore of Maryland.

 The Blueprint, Econazi Versions

In 2011 Emperor Polis and three other wealthy individuals developed “the blueprint”, a strategy to turn Colorado politics blue. They were successful and continue to further entrench their fellow travelers in the state’s apparatus.

This same strategy is being used, with modifications, by the radical “environmentalists”.

Having fun

The way sales are negotiated piss off many people. Oh, well.

You get an offer on paper from your manager, the infamous 4 square (https://www.youtube.com/shorts/MrD9CAG7vl0), and present it to the buyer.

I worked in a store where the desk man’s office was on the 2nd floor. I was working a deal just under his office and he could hear everything being said.

My customer and her “second baseman” were twenty something Vietnamese. Our initial offer was met with, “You price is too high”.

Show my shocked face! “No, that is a very fair price. We know we can’t make a lot of money from you Vietnamese”.  Giggles commence.

Now comes the drop. You scratch out the price and write in a slight lower price. Each one that is rejected leads to another lower price. Then I started adding and made the price higher.

“No, no, you go wrong way!”

Do it two more times. Suddenly, she grabs the pen and writes down a figure. Now comes the three step.

“You want to buy this car for that price?”, said in incredulous tone.

Giggles

“When I bring this offer to my boss he will probably fire me”

Giggles

“Okay, I will take him the offer but his office is right up there. Stay alert; he may throw me over the railing”.

More giggles

At the desk Dan is laughing. Two visiting wholesalers there are also laughing. He then chews me out loud enough for the customer to hear down below.

Going back down, I have an offer with a “courtesy bump”, probably some uneven number like $4162.76, and make the deal.

So everybody is laughing but me because I’m terribly worried about getting fired and must stay in character.

 Rudy Russo was my idol.

note : minutes 48 - :52. He went out with the cash in hand.

About car sales. I was usually tops in monthly sales. That wasn’t my goal. My goal was to be tops in gross profit. People would ask me my “secret”.  “No, if I tell you it won’t be a secret”. What made me successful were two things.

1.    Attitude. People come to a car lot to buy a car. Let them!

2.    I can make almost anyone like me for 45 minutes.

As always, YMMV

Anti-Government Rant

 Jackboot Thugs

Another story of the ATF doing a full scale raid on a couple’s home in the early hours and treating the man and wife like dangerous terrorists.  Why the heavy handed tactics when there was no need? 0800 go up and knock on the door. Second question, why wasn’t the county sheriff there? Two deputies in over their heads and likely not trained for that type of situation, would make me question why that sheriff needs to be reelected, if I were a voter in that county.

Hopefully the Trump administration will get this rouge agency under control.

 It has happened before.

But wait, there is more.

Butter

Once again I’m seeing articles on how butter is bad and various “spreads” are healthier. Maybe, but something that is one molecule away from plastic isn’t something I want to ingest.

Not all butter in the supermarket is the same. I try to find “first churned”, usually Amish, roll butter. Expensive, but my health is worth it.

Pardons

I’m not a lawyer and haven’t stayed at a Holiday Inn Express in years. That said, I think SloJo’s handlers have made a huge blunder. Those “pardoned” can no long take the 5th, as I understand the way the system works. Slimy Milley didn’t just do it alone. He had aides, subordinates, who in the normal course of time will be promoted into higher position. They helped him, and they can be prosecuted. The head snake may escape but the pit of vipers can’t.

There are scores of  MIlleys sitting on a Presidential pardon.

Are these subordinates going to quietly accept their fate? Or, will they take out the threat to them? Will our national murder rate have an upswing?

“If no one talks, we all walk”.

EV Blues

Trump pledges to target the EV industry, while Coloradans widely embrace their clean new cars

Typical leftist journalism click bait headline. Because of big subsidies (i.e. sucking at the taxpayer’s tit) some people buy electric vehicles. The rest of us paying for those subsidies are less enthusiastic.

Speaking of American Mainstream Maggots (h/t BZ)

Anonymous source, not authorized to speak publicly, says………….

Which likely means the anonymous source is the reporter’s imagination.

He wants to be your next President

Such a good smoke and mirrors job he has done to Colorado, just imagine what he can do for the country!

Emperor Polis

The mask mandate has been extended another month depending on where your county/community falls on some “color” scale, purple to green. My county is currently listed as “yellow”.

After a year of this nonsense, I see increasing scofflaw behavior. Most common is the mask below the nose. My guess, over half of mask wearers including store employees,  don’t cover their nose.

Must all be mouth breathers?

This morning I visited Harbor Freight where around 1/3 of the customers weren’t wearing masks (including yours truly).  As a major downstream China outlet, their stock is low and many bare shelves were to be seen. What I wanted wasn’t in stock so I left without buying anything.

Emperor Polis will claim credit after MLB moved the All-star game from Atlanta to Denver. Interesting, MLB moved it to a city with around a 15% black population in a state with 4% of the population counted as black by the Census Bureau. The state has stronger voting laws, including ID requirements, than the recent Georgia voter action. Of course, Colorado is mail in voting only.

(Doesn’t matter really with the blue counties dominating the population and enforcement/scrutiny of voting absent in those counties.)

See where the American Media Maggots (h/t BZ) are all atwitter over SloJo “gun control” Executive Orders. What I see so far is a focus on fringe points that will still energize their base. Firearms owners will continue, “We Will Not Comply”, and trillions of innocent electrons will be killed as polemics are written. Fund raising by groups on all sides will be stepped up.

I think I will go take a nap.

March 20th, Meat Free, Meat In

Emperor Polis’ companion/spouse/whatever is a vegetarian. He, “has a passion for animal rights”, as stated many times to the media. It isn’t clear he influenced his partner to proclaim March 20th as a “meat free” day.

The uproar resulted in 26 of Colorado’s 64 counties to declare March 20th as, “Meat In” day. There were gatherings statewide of farmers and ranchers with all kinds of meat prepared and consumed.

I attended a pancake and bacon breakfast in Dacono put on by a Weld County Commissioner and later stopped for some tasty brisket in LaSalle.

The (P)regressive Boulder trust fund snots attacking the Colorado animal husbandry is, IMO, shameful and vicious. There is an Initiative, 16, being floated that would make raising livestock for slaughter nearly impossible and prohibitively expensive. The Emperor has appointed people openly hostile to agriculture to various boards and commissions directly concerned with agriculture.

So far, the only ones not being attacked are the cannabis growers.

Rural Colorado doesn’t have the population to counter the Front Range counties. Still, several rural counties vote Democrat. Will they in the future?

Stepping On His Pee Pee II

A  rant about Colorado politics. May not be of interest to those who don’t live here. You are warned!

Colorado Gov. Hickenlooper, aka Gov. Wishywashy, seems to be fixated on repeating dumb ass moves. Not satisfied with freezing out Colorado Sheriffs during the passage of stupid gun laws, he has now frozen out all Republicans, while pushing new fracking laws. Some of his own party have had enough, and are refusing to go along. To get this done, he needs to call a Special Session of the Colorado Legislature. “Meet with the Republicans? We don’t need no stinking meeting; we have a majority in both chambers”.

Except, at least two Senate Democrats of the 18-17 majority (was 20-15 until two were recalled over the gun issue) are saying, “hell no”.

The person pushing this down the road is one Congressman Jared Polis (D), hailing from the Peoples Republic of Boulder, and a darling of the eco Nazis. Seems he wasn’t concerned with fracking until he came back from Washington D.C. one break to find an oil well being set up adjacent to his property. “Not in my back yard, M)&^$# F@*$)+%”.

Jared is extremely wealthy from his parent’s dot.com company sale, Wild Blue Greeting Cards, and their estate. He is one of the four wealthy trust fund principals behind the “Colorado Model” gun control push and turning Colorado purple.  Wishywashy seems afraid of his money.

Once again Wishywashey has an excellent chance to step on his pee pee. Probably will.

We all can appreciate his recent photo opportunities with the Lightbringer playing pool and drinking beer in LoDo. That will get him a lot of votes out in rural Colorado, not, but the Jefferson County soccer moms are thrilled.

So, WSF, are you looking forward to a Republican Governor? Not the one who has the nomination. If you took every negative stereotype of an inbred, wealthy country club, privileged, lily white caricature of an insider Republican, he would be the poster boy. Add being implicated in many local banking and savings and loan scandal for the last thirty years and the picture becomes clearer.  I’ve never voted for him, will never vote for him, and won’t encourage anyone to vote for him. That is one place on the ballot I will likely leave blank.

My feverent hope is the voters in this state will rise up and put the boots to the Democrats in office this coming election. Not saying they will be any good; just saying they won't do as much harm.

Fracking? That is the only job creating industry in the state. The rest are being strangled by regulations and taxes.

Fleecing tourists is still encouraged. Out of state visitors should read the fine print on car rental agreements, know they will get gouged with "hospitality" taxes at motels, and, for their financial health, stay the hell off  the E-470 toll road. Driving on E-470 in a rental car will cost you north of $80. Oh, and have a nice day!
