Going into week three with the dog. We seem to be bonding
and he seems to be settling in to his new home.
He is well behaved. Doesn’t bark. Hasn’t shown the slightest
aggression towards other animals or people. He gets very excited around
children.
Many of the residents love him and he gets lots of pets and
treats as we move around the common areas. He seems to lift the spirits of some
of the residents.
He loves car rides and is well behaved. So far, his potty
training has held up with zero incidents within the apartment. It is a
requirement to pick up after him outside and I can tell you he is a two bag
dumper.
I feel fortunate to have him.

Welcome to the dog owner's club!
Great to hear you two are doing so well, and he's settled in. Dogs don't really want much besides food, water, and some attention, but they give back so much more. Treat them right, and you'll never have a truer friend.
So happy to hear you have a good pardner. Dogs add so much to our lives.
Our Pom leaves a dump the size of half a Tootsie Roll, would take maybe 30 dumps to fill a bag.
He sounds like the perfect dog.

He has added a new dimension to my life.

He makes me get up and get going. He has Pmail to check!

Makes up for it by being fiesty. My mothers Poms both thought they were Great Danes.

So far, so good. Hit the pet lottery with him.
It sounds like he's getting you trained very well.
I wish both of you a long and happy relationship. A dog is a wonderful thing to have.

I'm a slow learner but he is patient.
Glad it's going well! :-)
Thank you.
Congrats on the dog, he seems a good 'un. Mine's been at a friend's place in the country for a week, which is good because he gets the chance to run about with all the other dogs and be "dog."

He is a social worker in our building. The number of residents that know his name is amazing. Even some of the withdrawn and embittered residents brighten and want to pat his head. He graciously lets them.
