Local Tractor Show

Small show but interesting. The big show is July 20-21 with close to 100 entries. The show is usually free.

If you like old tractors, the best collection I know of is in Burlington, CO. If you are traveling I-70, budget two to three hours to visit their museum. You will not be disappointed. Over 100 tractors, all inside an a/c building, plus lots more.

It is a small town but they do things big.

Thank you. I was mowing hay on a John Deere the summer I turned 11. Pulling a side delivery rake the summer before that.

I have always thought tractors very interesting, but love the car shows more.

Tractors are so well built some are being used by 4th generations. The new huge mega farm ones don't do it for me. Have mixed marriage cousins. She is from a Deere family, he is from a Case family.

I remember that. Two opposed cylinders.

Nice to see an old Ford 8N in the mix!

Spent hours on one raking hay. Unfortunately, I grew enough to start bucking bales.

Not doubting you but how can you tell? Per my sister who was at his place on an insurance claim, the owner is a Studebaker collector with a large collection.

Nice machinery there, and Happy Father's Day, WSF!

I used to attend tractor pulls back in Illinois. They didn't usually have the crazy "Stadium Pullers" with quadruple turbocharged 700+ cubic inch big blocks, and it was a lot of fun talking to the guys that had stock appearing, but hot rodded, "farm" tractors.

And they were always spotless!

Oh, be still my heart. I love tractor shows. My dad had a 1954 international. I loved to drive that thing. I thought I was the big cheese on the ranch. Wish I had one just like it for around here. Awesome pics. Looks like you had a good time.

Was there with my sister. Of curse, she knew EVERYONE there.

It's the shape of the cowling and the nose. It's a Ford 8N, probably from the late 1940s, and it's the right grey and blue colors...LOL
