Motive?
Several ideas are kicked around.

I propose another? For all the failings of that amoral man, is it possible he
loves this country and knew what a disaster a Shillary presidency would be?

More likely motive: pure self-interest. He didn't want his place in Presidential history to be eclipsed by her.

Rev. Paul's "battle of two narcissists" resonates more clearly with my machivelian mind than does Bill Clinton, the patriot.
Somebody alerted the media to the tarmac meeting - the FBI, who was aware because of security requirements for the two heavy hitters. Here we see an FBI special agent as a hero. There are a LOT of villains in the FBI but there are also some heroes. I've known both.

Bill kept trying to trade Hillary in on a newer and flashier model. Nobody would take her in trade.
The Donald, on the other hand, successfully traded out of older models. Art of the Deal. Which could explain his win?

I'm in the same opinion as Rev Paul. I don't think he would want her to achieve that lofty goal. It might diminish him. What a relationship.
I think any "patriotism" shown by Slick Willy was an unintended consequence of his actions.....
Just one of my demented thoughts that no one else agrees with. That is ok, part of writing this blog is to encourage discussions.
Agree with Rev and LL, Slick Willy was NEVER a patriot, only interested in narcissistic self promotion, and screwing any woman that would hold still long enough!
Their 'marriage' is based on MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction). Self preservation might be a motive. First female President, and first widow President?
