Human Nature
A friend, Don Wendt, replaced his water heater. What to do with the old useless water heater? He placed it on the curb with a large sign, FOR SALE $100. Within hours it was stolen.
Did you ever read about the garbage strike in NYC back in the late 60s? Apparently there were people who boxed and gift-wrapped their garbage, then left it on the seat of their car. Problem solved.
You should have posted this last Friday. I had to replace a commode and could have done the same thing with the old one. I tried to get my grandson to take it and make a flower pot out of it, but no go. This would have been a better solution than hauling it off.

Sorry I was too late to help.
LOL, bet somebody isn't going to be happy... :-)
After the scrap yard laughed at them they probably dumped it somewhere.
The back story is that he first put it on the curb with a FREE sign. No takers. Slap a price tag on it...GONE.
Sisty
I had forgotten that.
What a brilliant man. I might use that idea.
Don is one of the smartest people I've met. Too bad he has the alcohol problem.
