Irritating Generations of Women

Any woman involved with a man who served in Germany after WWII.

In talking with a neighbor who served there in the 1960’s, he brought this up. I remember several women, including my ex, who hated this song.

What a great song!

Far across the blue waters
Lives an old German's daughter
By the banks of the old river Rhine
Where I loved her and left her

Just sharing your superior DNA with the master race.

PS - Sing it to the ladies of the Coven. Maybe Banner will howl along?

A matter of opinion. I like it.

Two problems with singing it to the coven.
1. I can't sing. True, the worst singer you don't want to hear.
2. Lack of courage.

To the best of my knowledge, didn't share.

Hehehe, yeah, that would stir them up!

Jealousy, perhaps.

Back in Bobby's day, we called them 'crooners.' Bobby Helms was more of a 'whiner.' His 'Jingle Bell Rock' was a toe tapper, but other than that I had to turn off the radio, his voice got on my nerves.

Never a favorite of mine, and not the only one to record that song.

Women resent any former girlfriend, real or not. My ex was a classic example.
