Annual Event I Enjoy

Rows of tractors.

Spent the summer I turned 11 on one of these mowing hay.

A couple of unusual, for the area, brands.

Restored vs. still working?

Husking corn.

Wheat represented. During the day the thresher was fired up.

Want to experience hard work? Spend a summer stacking 4 bales at a time on a slip behind one of these. Did that the summer I turned twelve.

Non OSHA approved operation.

Did a bit of this in my youth. On a ranch you need to turn your hand to what needs to be done. School shop classes help.

Must have at least one steamer.

Auxiliary engines were important pieces on a farm.

Not to forget trucks.

Nice rig.

I missed last year but plan to make it next year.

Because of your youth and upbringing I can see you enjoying a show like this. It is foreign to me as I was brought up a city boy. I can relate to the old pickups though.

The emphasis is on enjoying, not participating.

COOL!

Where was this held? I used to go to things like this back in Illinois, along with tractor pulls, and would love to pick up on it again once we move.

This one is in Greeley. There are several similar ones in the area. A good source for all things agriculture is "The Fence Post".

Wow, some nice rigs there! And I see a few hit/miss engines in that bunch of 'service' engines!

My FUN bar is fairly low.
