A neighbor in our 90 unit building, 78 years old with health problems, recently had a severe asthma attack her inhaler didn’t stop. Visiting the nearby Urgent Care facility (right across the street to our East) she was found to be asymmetric positive for COVID. That had no bearing on her asthma problem she has had for a decade or more.
Our building is full of people, mainly female, who never left Junior High School emotionally (I’m too old to have known middle school).
Somehow two snoopy neighbors found out, or deduced the COVID diagnosis and hustle their butts into the manager’s office. That resulted in this letter being taped to every door.
The neighbor in question is a retired surgical assistant. Her knowledge of medical facts most likely exceeds most of our residents. She wouldn’t put other people at risk. I know she is a good person; Banner adores her and will go running up to her if off leash. He doesn’t do that with most people.
I can’t fault the building manager as he is in a damned if I do, damned if I don’t position. At least he didn’t go full lockdown.
Most likely the snitch bitches are congratulating themselves and are feeling righteous. The stigma they have created for my neighbor probably doesn’t cross their minds.
A few of us in the building will now go out of our way to include our neighbor in our social gatherings. Several of us take our dogs out at regular times and visit while the dogs do dog business.
My neighbor told me she had a 1 ½ hour wait to be seen at the “Urgent” Health clinic. Seems the COVID scam propaganda is working so well people panic over a sniffle. A question comes to mind; what is the long term economic cost of all this?
As always, YMMV.

The management should give the sick neighbor two pieces of wood to hit together (clackers) as she walks, in much the same way that lepers were required to do that. Maybe a scarlet letter on her clothes?
I'm most tired of the plague. Your management is stuck, I get it. But people need to be kind and you shouldn't ask for whom the bell tolls.

Came into the lobby tonight to find seven sheeple wearing face diapers.
"Oh, didn't you get the letter?", one asked me. Grrr.
My favorite abuelas, two sisters in the late 80's, were holding court. They flat won't wear masks and no one wants to tangle with them. After Banner paid his respects, we were able to get on the elevator.
+YES to LL.

We chatted in the hall this evening. She is a fighter and identified one of the snitches. Gave said snitch a wee lecture on HIPPA with a side of lawsuit.
On a positive note, she received a new therapy involving intravenous treatments that worked quickly and effectively.
HIPAA is designed to keep *medical providers/employers/billing/insurance* from accessing/sharing a person's private health information.
So no, no HIPAA violation.
However, it was not appropriate or decent for anyone to go to management over it. I'm sure everyone in your apartment building is taking whatever precautions they deem necessary for their own peace of mind.
What a crazy time this is.
The HIPPA bit was a bluff. The Sheeple I mentioned had an air of moral superiority. Only one had their face diaper covering their nostrils.
I've had No regard for the
Constipated Hall Monitor
types since forever. The people who Pride themselves for their abilities to be so obedient,, you Know the ones. They not only stood quietly in line in the hall getting lined up to go to lunch in second grade,, they Shushed me! They grew up to be old biddies!
How about that?

This place wasn't my first choice and I'm one of the few paying full ride. Like most of my dwellings in years past, it is a place to keep my cloths, take a shower, and get some sleep. Too many residents don't have a life outside the building. Idle minds and all that.
