Maybe a coincidence, that one Waffle House has closed. Now there is only one in Northern Colorado. Fort Collins at Hwy 14 and I-25.

Why would a waffle house close? Not enough people love waffles? I can't fathom that. Maybe progressives would be happy if they offered a tofu waffle with sugar free syrup?
That particular intersection has more than ten fast food outlets. They opened around 2005. I don't patronize Waffle House and other type places because my morbidly obese body doesn't fit booths.
Just as towns sprang up where the railroad went, Waffle Houses spring up at intersections of Interstates and major state highways.
The I-25/CO-14 area is a prime example.....
Wherever you go in the USA you know what you will find at Waffle House. Good basic food.
Sometimes entertainment. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dya0UU0meD4
Yep, they do provide basic food. :-)
Better than most chains like Dennys.
If that is the one across the street from Cum-N-Go I've eaten there and it was the worst service and food I've ever had at a WH. Not to say it was always bad, but my experience there. My flag is at half mast over the loss of a WH, though.
Across from motels on a four lane highway. My old GM loved the place.
