Two reasons. One, I do support their work for veterans at the national level. Two, a high school classmate and good friend has been the backbone of the post I belong to. Little enough to support his efforts.
Years ago I decided alcohol, my temper, and the bombastic rhetoric I heard was a mix to avoid. Probably a reflection on my character, not that I give a shit.
