Social Justice Warriors Are A Cult

The (P)regressives continue to implode with even angrier explanations of Shillary’s loss with a side whine about the down ticket races. This lapsed Blue Dog thinks they have become a cult. From Wikipedia.

The word "cult" has always been controversial because it is (in a pejorative sense) considered a subjective term, used as an ad hominem attack against groups with differing doctrines or practices.[7][8] Cults range in size from local groups with a few members to international organizations with millions.[9]

It seems to me the American Media Maggots (h/t Bloviating Zeppelin) are attempting to retain cult membership while creating an illusion of impartiality. What is really up with them is trying to preserve their rice bowls in the face of plummeting revenues. Just as their slavish (cult) devotion to the Shillary campaign failed, so will the current “fake news” narrative.

You can’t stop free speech. I’m old enough to remember duplicating machine produced tracts being passed around. The John Birch Society comes to mind. Now we have the internet. The attacks on content under the false flag of “net neutrality” and blocking “fake news” sites only shows how powerful a tool the internet is for free speech and the dissemination of different views.

Back to my point, if there is one, many of the SJW “issues” find some level of agreement among “basket” members while the interests of “deplorable” are rejected, or given lip service, by the SJWs. Thus, they are a cult.

The cults high priests are the academics and media scions who spout their nonsense at universities and over the air waves across the land. The high priests are like the lilies of the field in that "they toil not, neither do they spin", but they are paid princely sums to "preach".

When I watch the news I think of this Orwell quote from 1984, "It was always the women, and above all the young ones, who were the most bigoted adherents of the Party, the swallowers of slogans, the amateur spies and nosers−out of unorthodoxy.”

Agree with all your points.

If Orwell were writing today I think he would include post menopausal born again virgins dragging the baggage of failed relationships and unsuccessful careers. Revenge seekers, if you will.

I was watching a football game yesterday when a streaker ran across the field. The game mouth said, “Uh, well there goes another streaker who will not be shown on television.” No since doing it if you aren’t going to be seen by millions, right? The same thing could be said about these cult groups, college kids and profs, and hippi progs, if the MSM wouldn’t report on them. They would lose interest with the public. But this will not happen, because the MSM has an agenda and these dickwads fit right into their agenda.

I think it's part of the female "Nesting Instinct". Women tend to value stability and safety somewhat more than men do. Hence, when some "system" comes along an offers to take care of everything for you, women are drawn to it.

You can't deny biology, although many of today's well educated, "Professional" women try to. It's hard-coded into our DNA, for better or worse.

"Nesting Instinct" is something I've never thought of in a political context. I think you are on to something.

There will always be people looking for "useful idiots" and useful idiots ready to volunteer.

The Voltaire quote is especially appropriate! And you're on the money!

Thank you. Cults are dangerous - wish I wasn't on the money.

I think many women have a very large dose of "Yes I can too do it, you're not the boss of me, girls can do ANYTHING!!"

I admit to having that attitude when it's something I actually *can* do, or would like to try.

But the current crop of, hm, which derogatory term should I use for the women who proudly point to Pantsuit Nation and spend a great deal of their time in the practices of wailing publicly and crying on social media or virtue signalling (See my safety pin? I'm special and you can trust me because wearing this pin proves I am a STRONG WOMAN!! OH hell I'm digressing again...)

Fembots.
Fembots are frustrated because they, A: KNOW they can't do everything and B: because they don't like people to actually know it.

I guess really the 'He's NOT MY PRESIDENT/The Russians did it/I hate those nasty deplorables' are deeply pissed off because Hillary didn't win. And because she didn't win, they're taking it to mean that *they* can't do those big boy jobs.

I realize I will probably have to turn in my 'real' woman card now, since I'm glad Hillary didn't win (I still loathe Trump, too) and because I don't think women can do anything a man can do. In the interest of balance, I don't think men can do anything women can do, either.

I'm sorry, what were we talking about?

"Anyone but Shillary" was my stance this election cycle. Amoral, corrupt, liar, etc. Some would say that is all politicians but she took it to heights never reached by anyone.

I've lost several female friends because I voted for Trump.

My clan has many accomplished women and mainly good old boys. As a man I'm damn glad I can't have babies.

As a women who's reached the state of mythical dry up, I am glad *I* can't have babies, too.
