We have been enjoying 80 degree weather along the Front Range. Yesterday, a storm came through dropping 8 or more inches of wet, almost cement, snow. Today Obama visited Denver. I'm blaming him for the mess.
Other than catching trees still with leaves, a heavy moisture storm like this is good for our parched soil. Going from 80 to snow kills off a lot of grasshoppers, etc., which will be helpful next summer.

LOL- Global COOLing... :-)
@ Old NFO Guess I should blame Gore:)
A bit if a freak show, but pretty.
@ Suz Fairly common experience around here. Not every year. October 1997 brought a blizzard that dropped feet, not inches.
September 21, 1995 was the earliest snow storm like this that I readily remember. If I remember correctly it was about 8-10 inches that broke many trees and downed countless power lines. We only got a total of about 4 inches out our way, all on grass and trees nothing stuck to the streets. Great snowball fight snow though! LOL
