Big Ones

Crew installing new power lines North of Cheyenne along US 85.

When Surveyors Disagree

East of LaGrange Wyoming Highway 151 ends (70 mph). Nebraska Highway 88 (65 mph) begins. One problem; they don’t join so a vicious 45 mph S bend joins them.

Unusual Wyoming Sight

Calm day. Over the years I’ve used this facility many times. Usually you need to park so that you  don’t need to open your door against the wind.

No Electric Cars

During my 380 mile loop yesterday I didn’t see a single battery powered car. (Picture from the web)

High Plains

Looking East not far from the foothills of the Rockies, there isn’t a mountain for over 1,000 miles.

A wandering post from a wandering senior citizen mind.

At least you wandered home to Banner.

Of course, I needed to rescue him from a dreaded location.

Isn't THAT just a special little zig-zag... sigh... And I didn't see a single charging station out there! So unless you're towing your own, you would be SOL!

During my medical courier days I traversed that corner three days a week. All along the WY-NE state line section lines don't match.

Something about traveling through western Kansas and Nebraska and eastern Colorado and Wyoming is charming to me. Can't explain it; gave up trying. That stretch of US 20 between Lusk, WY and Crawford, NE especially the hills around Fort Robinson wow me.

That corner of Nebraska containing Fort Robinson is a favorite place to visit. Toward the North is the Toadstool formations. At my current level of fitness/age can't do the full hike but even the easy part is worth the effort. Following the Niobrara River gives vistas completely unexpected. Best part, fewer crowds.
