Another fire is burning about 85 miles WNW of me and on the
east side of the Front Range. Again, in rugged terrain, so mainly aerial
fighting.
Probable cause of this fire is lightning but it is near
Chambers Lake and campgrounds.
Sunset last night was spectacular. The orange colors were
intense. Sorry, didn’t take pictures.
These pictures are once again looking towards the Front
Range just after sunrise.
The impact of all these fires on traffic is best shown from
the States’ information page.

I thought it was pretty smokey this morning, but didn't know we had one burning in the Front Range.
The sun has that sickly yellow color to it like we used to see back in SoCal when there were wildfires.

About 45 miles from you.
Our son just stopped by to pick up TLG. He works at Noosa in Bellvue, and said there's ash on the cars. They live behind Vern's, and said they had to close the windows last night because of the "campfire" smell.

Tis the season! Hope the air quality doesn't hurt TLG.
Yep, it's coming to the plains and north Texas too... sigh

They way 2020 is going, when we do get rain it will probably be at flood producing levels.
I like photo #2 best. It has that desert look. Nice.
Hot as Hades here, the air might ignite.

We have some decent landscaping. The statue???
Christ nailed to the Cross? Huberto Maestas.
Just a guess...

Failed sarcasm. Somewhere in the past the city bought several statues and placed them around the city (hey, we are a cowtown but we are sophisticated). I'll get more pics and post them of the statue near our senior building.
The City designated that 1% of each new project fund art. That is why there are so many statues around town. I especially like the "trees" along 8th Ave. (the main N-S drag). They make you pay some attention and break up "tunnel vision".
Thank you for the info.
