After the Parkland shooting, I renewed my
lapsed memberships in the NRA and GOA. I have “issues” with both organizations
but felt, “All hands on deck to repel boarders”. Not a time to quibble.
Now the NRA elects this dude president.
All I will say is, not my president.

Oliver North's voice is one with a past and a present. Since he left the USMC, he's done a LOT of good for veterans organizations, he served in Congress and he's definitely a Second Amendment guy.
I have Irish Alzheimers. All we remember are out grudges.
Back in the day he was directly responsible for grievous harm to some folks I was close to.
Fair enough.
Not the best choice, hopefully for only one term.
Personal dislike aside, hope he does a good job. Organization is too important.
Well, he certainly would not have been MY first choice, but I hope he will do a good job.
And yeah, I became a life member after Parkland. (During one of their apparently routine substantial discounts.) For much the same reasons as you re-upped.
