Super-cell II

At it again. Doesn't seem as intense as the other day, at least at my place. Look out eastern plains. These things just seem to grow.

Summer weather.

It can be entertaining...while it destroys your car. Should we call it car dealer weather?

We got about 1/2" in a nice, long, slow shower from Saturday night through midday Sunday.

I gotta learn to read the weather better. I wanted to feed the yard right before a rain like we just had, and missed it.

And it looks like Fort Morgan always gets hammered!

LL- Hail storms make car dealers shit. Stevenson Lexus, Lakewood CO a few years ago, $4.2 million. My good fortune to never work at a place that got hit.

drjim - Good luck with that! Those mountains to your West are a weather churn.

Ft. Morgan is at the edge of the rain shadow. As you head West the native vegetation becomes sparse and brown. Think of a wave breaking on a beach. Ft. Morgan is the beach.

Meh... Maybe got 10 drops over the last three days... Just the wind... nothing else. It's rained ALL around us.

Organize a town car wash or bbq.

I was out driving my LMTV a.k.a. Goliath, and missed being in the middle of yesterday’s hail storm on the east side of Colorado Springs. Pretty good covering of 1/2 - 3/4” hail along with lingering cold and rain. Got a few good photos of the cell as it passed north of where I was driving. Beautiful in its own way.
Good weather for crawling in the blankets and taking a nap.

There was a path of hail near Johnston so thich the plows came out to clear the roads. South of LaSalle on US 85 here were still piles of hail at 0900.
