Once again the Army has reached out and grabbed me!
Youngest son and wife are off to a pre-deployment couples retreat to help them when he is soon deployed. Someone needs to watch their children. I’ve been drafted!
Will be forced to spend the next three days with my grand children. It will be tough but I will try to soldier through it.

And we'll be depending on your experience as an NCO to keep the troops in line! And I expect the house to be GQ when we get home too!!!
Well oh well, you do understand that there is now a "Senior corps".Seems that there too is a New 1st Brigade 4th Infantry S.O.P For parents of soldiers whom were Non commissioned officers. The new S.O.P requires "any previous NCO whom has a child in the same branch of service, regardless of unit or M.O.S whoms current rank is lessor then the rank during your time of service, whom as well has a wife and child number exceeding that of a squad and in this case a platoon. You are now required to provide childcare during pre deployment events. You will not be compensated for your efforts. However consider it a short term draft or selective re-service. You are doing this country a great service as your enlisted child will take this time to produce yet another child and so on working on creating a battalion sized family.
As Lilian Carter, the late mother of former President Jimmy Carter, is creditied with saying, "If I had it to over again, I would have stayed a virgin".
LOL- Feed em LOTS of candy, then give em back... :-) Enjoy the time WSF!
3 days with you? Yuck!
I sincerely hope that you have set aside money for the grandchildren to have major therapy after spending time with GG. They are going to need it along with Duece.

Hmm. A whiff of green eyed monster detected? The kids have been shaped up. Progress is being made with the dog. Another 24 hours and my work will be completed.
