Paranoid?

A running joke with blogger LL  (https://www.virtualmirage.org/) is getting a bunk near the stove at the re-education camp. He wants a top bunk.

The picture is of a Japanese-American internment camp located at Granada, CO. I’ve visited the site and nothing is left now. Not far away is the Army’s Pinion Canyon Maneuver Area. Sorry, need to give you the co-ordinates as I can’t seem to screen shot Google Earth.

37° 29’41.03”N    104°09”14.21"W

My late son was a 4th Infantry Division Medic and trained there several times. He told me, tucked away, are rows of empty barracks behind stout fences. You will note from Google Earth the site has excellent rail service (BNSF Main Line) and a paved State Highway. Interstate 25 is nearby as is US 287 which runs from the Gulf in Texas into Montana.

So, WSF, what is causing your paranoia?  My stat counter, and my internet service. On a good month I get around 300-600 hits. My recent political posts have 3,000+ hits. My internet service has slowed to a crawl. Downloads are terribly slow, like minutes for “conservative” sites.

I use AVG and Malwarebytes to keep my computer safe. For years I’ve had no problems and now I do. Their scans show nothing. I also use Boost which usually speeds things up. Not now. Is someone spying on me? If so, who?

I doubt anyone in this building is able to hack my WiFi. I’ve used the same one at my old address and haven’t had a problem.

So, if I am being monitored, will you please see my sister gets Banner? He has nothing to do with my political views.

I Never Thought I would Do This

My heartfelt apologies to all veterans, past and present, for doing this. My reasons for doing it follows.

Had the Biden/Harris campaign won a clean and fair election, I would have accepted it. I wouldn’t have liked it, but, just as the recent Colorado election I accept without liking it, majority rules.

The level of fraud in this election is sickening. Hell, they might have won fair and square. Of course, they haven’t won yet and I don’t think they will. It will get uglier and uglier and the end, whatever way it goes, will leave the country bitter and divided.

Worse, to me, is the way Democrats just shrug off the fraud; that defeating Trump is so important a little criminality is justified. That, for what is it worth, greatly diminishes them in my eyes.

This may be the last Presidential election I have cast a vote. The average lifespan for a white male in this country is, per Google, 75.3 years and I’m a bit past that. That contributes to my bitterness.

I clearly remember the 46 days it took for Bush to prevail over Gore. I also remember it took a war to somewhat unite the country behind Bush. For those who think I’m a fan of either Bush, go back and read some of my blog posts from that time, before and after 9/11.

Richard Nixon’s Presidency I still remember, how the Republicans stole that one. Hubert Humphrey, for whatever reasons, decided not to fight it. Nixon went through his first four years labeled a crook and called far and wide, “Tricky Dickie”. That didn’t help the country prosper, either.

Flying a flag upside down is a universal signal. Again, per Google.

It should never be displayed upside down unless trying to convey a sign of distress or great danger.

I believe the current situation qualifies. YMMV

As to Biden calling for a time to, “heal”, fuck you, you crooked bastard. Never, on my part.

 Swiped this meme off Facebook.

The left wants to kiss and make up🤔
After what you put that man through for 5 long years 24/7
You can kiss my American Ass.

Had to hit, “Like” when I saw that.

Banner, aka The Big Pooper

Juvat has a great post up about pets (including horses) that prompts this post.

https://www.google.com/url?sa=j&url=https%3A%2F%2Foldafsarge.blogspot.com%2F2020%2F11%2Fschmedly.html&uct=1603763565&usg=zQisYZ99y0W7WHxaSdYoAO-EUds.

October 27th marked our first year together. When I got him I was told he was seven. Three days after I got him he had a vet visit and weighed 70 lbs. At the end of October he had his annual vet visit and weighed 80 lbs. Must mean I’m starving him!

A young lady had him from a pup. In the following years she acquired a husband, two children, and the family two more dogs. Things went well for awhile but the other dogs started attacking him, he fought back, and has lots of scars. They decided to see if someone would adopt him. I’m sure that family loved him but I am also sure they used harsh discipline. Even after a year, he flinches and cringes. I rarely swat him.

We got in contact via Craigslist. Several people were interested but she picked me. I do believe I won the dog lottery.

He doesn’t chew anything in the apartment. He has never had an “accident”. He has vomited one time. He rarely barks and only if a stranger is at the door. Other than having his nails clipped his grooming needs are minimal.

Being named after the Incredible Hulk doesn’t make you one. He is the biggest wimp. Hates water. Won’t play “fetch”. Tile floors terrify him. The young lady would lay out towel bridges for him. I just drag his ass across them. He understands I’m the pack leader. I am first across the threshold.

He is great riding in the car, even for hours, so long as he has the back seat to himself. In the import pickup, not so much, as he can’t stretch out. I've never put him in the bed.

His one bad habit is he loves to eat grass. Sometimes I think I have a pony. My biggest concern is him eating grass that has been sprayed with Roundup or similar. I’m thinking about getting a training collar.

He snores!

Only one time has he shown aggression towards a person. A panhandler walked by the car and Banner gave a growl worthy of a lion. He has shown “posturing” aggression toward a few dogs but has never taken it further into actual fighting.

In addition to enhancing my life, he puts a lot of smiles on a lot of faces. Mine is one of 90 apartments in a senior housing building and many of the residents adore him. Probably 75-80% of the residents are women. Who knew I would become a wing-man for a dog? Likely, few would even speak to me if not for him.  While he allows anyone to pet him, he has his favorites, especially the “treat lady”, chief witch of the Coven. Another is a man in a motorized chair that rarely speaks to anyone, and is a scary looking dude.  Not to Banner. If he is off leash, he runs to great him.

With the exception of an Irish Setter, all of the dogs in the building are small “yappers”. Banner ignores them, for the most part, but his favorite is “Pinto”, a young Chihuahua about the size of Banner’s jaw.

Before I got him I was on a serious weight loss program (70 lbs in two years) that he helps with our two one mile walks a day. Some of our walks are through residential areas and several young kids run out to greet him. He stoically accepts their attention.

Until well into my “retirement”, my lifestyle would have been cruel for a pet. I didn’t realize how much they can brighten you life.

Fraud

Who as a child was taught a liar’s punishment is not being believed when they tell the truth?

Should the Biden/Harris ticket prevail after all the court challenges, a very large part of the country will never accept them as rightful winners. The bitter divisions will remain and goodwill hard to find, IMO. There is clear cut evidence of fraud and election rigging in many states. Would the Biden/Harris ticket have won without? Maybe, but we will never know,  and they will always be illegitimate. In short, liars.

The Colorado elections seem to be reasonably fair and honest. The majority of the 58 County Clerk and Recorders made sure their counties followed the law. The urban corridor beat the rural areas. While I don’t like the results, I can accept them.

At a personal level, I have choices. COLOEXIT is one. Continuing to support the Weld County, WY is another. By continuing to call for the impeachment of the Governor is yet another way of response. All of these fall into my right as a citizen. In my personal value system, it is my obligation.

Weld County, WY and impeach Polis has little chance of success. Why do it? Fighting a fight, even a losing one, is worth doing IMO.

One large question that probably won’t be answered, does Wyoming want us?

If Biden/Harris becomes POTUS, this is one citizen who will never accept them, never support them, and will never quit opposing them however I can. OK, one decrepit senior citizen isn’t even a raindrop. Said senior citizen occupies 100% of his head, and will stay true to his beliefs. Hopefully, I will get a cot close to the stove at the re-education camp.

Am I being arrogant to think I’m worth the attention necessary to send me to a re-education camp?

2020 Election

Swiped this off Facebook. The poster is a former professional bull rider (into his 50’s) and car dealer who has made and lost more than one fortune. Between the times I quit and the times he fired me, I worked for him some ten years.

138,000 votes magically appear and ALL OF THEM are for Biden?! Are you fucking kidding me? What world are we in? 100%? 100%? Think about what I just said. 100%! Even if you are a Trump-hating, LGBTQ, subway sandwich ordering, Starbucks swallowing, forest burning, small business looting, get your feelings hurt from everything, constantly blaming others for your misery, baby killing, non God-fearing, gun hating, man purse wearing, summama! Even YOU gotta think, maybe, just maybe something ain't right here! Did I mention 100%? Lol. Come on man!!!!!!!!!

I’ve refrained from ranting about the election results. I’m waiting to see how it pans out. Something I posted on Facebook.

Venezuela

Progressives wonder why old farts like me so oppose their many great ideas and goals. We see what can happen.

At one time Venezuela was the second wealthiest country in the Western Hemisphere with a standard of living that rivaled, or often exceeded, the USA. Today, it is a hell hole and the children are starving. Root cause? You might look into it. A little corruption, a little ends justifies the means, and an elitist attitude leads to a slippery slope.

At my age, it doesn’t matter. To my, and your, grandchildren and great grandchildren it does.

If the Biden/Harris ticket prevails, how do they expect to govern in a democratic fashion, when a substantial portion of the population regard them as criminals? Do they think it will all be kisses and sunshine?

The way they will be forced to govern is by dictatorship. Is that really the way the (P)regressives want to see our country operate? We have three branches of government and Congress will be split. Nothing will get done. The last four years shows that clearly. The mess will end up in the Supreme Court. Will the President obey the decisions of the court, especially if the President is Harris?

The end of the next four years may well cause us to look back at 2020 as our last good year. At my age, I may not see it.

Dry Run

Decided on some range time today, forgetting it was Sunday, and being retired means almost any day can be range day. A very nice public range is a 32 mile drive from my apartment. When I arrived, this was the scene. I left. I don’t like being around strangers wielding dangerous implements.

Some people were taking another option.

My choice was to not join them. While a scofflaw, there is a time and place. That isn’t a sunny day with visibility 50+ miles.

Another reason is not  being around idiots.

Not all was lost as any visit to the Pawnee Grasslands soothes my mind.

Banner enjoyed the outing and is unfazed by gunfire. We will return sometime soon, during the middle of the week.
