Jackalopes

Jackalopes

Banner often accompanies me on my trips. My explanation to those who question me, in an accusing  tone of voice, about making him spend hours in the backseat, is he is along to protect my vehicle from savage jackalopes. Lets me brag that I’ve never encountered a jackalope while he is with me. At that point the questioner usually wanders off shaking their head and muttering under their breath.

Democracy: Why care about just 500,000 people?

Wyoming is on track to be screwed over by the enviroNazis who dominate the Bureau of Land Management.

Paranoid or Prescient?

Going down a rabbit hole trying to connect dots.

1.    Many are speculating some new engineered crisis will happen before or after the Presidential election.

2.    Thousands of military aged male illegal immigrants are within our borders. Many are from China or Islamic countries. Will they form a fifth column?

3.    If Trump actually wins the election (unlikely IMO because the winner will be determined by those who count the votes) these fifth columnists will be activated, a state of national emergency will be declared, and civil liberties and elections will be suspended.

4.   What will the fifth columnists attack? Low hanging fruit. The electrical grid. Municipal water systems. Railroad tracks and bridges.

5.   Local terror?

I devoutly hope I’m wrong.

Circular firing squad

The Colorado GOP Party continued infighting won’t do anything to return Colorado to a red state, or even a purple state.

I’m a registered Independent who “leans” Republican. This is not for any love for most of them; rather a loathing of (P)regressive Democrats.

Hammer the Hammer

Ah, the Hammer gets hammered. Tom Delay, guilty of money laundering. One more in a dreary line of sleazy slickers. The man who so lowered the bar on bipartisanship, he paved the way for Pelosi and fellow travelers.

What a legacy. His efforts to gerrymander Texas resulted in Democrat legislators fleeing the state to prevent a quorum and shutting down the legislature (I’m not a Texan; maybe this was a good thing).

The blatant flouting of rules with the likes of Abramoff so soured public opinion, he probably ended up getting more Democrats elected than Republicans.

Readers of this blog know I am no fan of Obama. Other than national defense, I see nothing to praise Bush. DeLay is the poster boy for the whole sleazy mindset of the GOP (and Dem versions of RINOs) during the eight years we were robbed.

Just my opinion. Your mileage may vary.

$$$$$$'s

As a registered Democrat, I get many money solicitations. Very rarely do they receive anything from me. Prior to Obama it was different. It seemed to me the party in power was in the hands of scoundrels. As an example, the FDIC lost nearly 1,000 auditors from 1999-2007 (Denver Post, 12/28/09). Not surprising we have massive bank failures. Now the party in power is in the hands of looney social engineers. AARGH!

These fund solicitations are starting to have a whiff of panic. Maybe they are reading the tea party tea leaves! I can only hope the GOP will offer up a slate of candidates not smelling of corruption. Yeah, I am a foolish optimist!
