We’ve had several days of rain. It has been a soft ground soaking rain, not gully washing, but farther out in the plains it hasn’t been so kind.
Along with rain comes mud. I’m glad I’m retired.
The city should do some selective pruning before some of the trees leaf out.
We’ve had such a mild winter the old agriculture boy in me is glad to see the rain. Still, more snow is possible. My sister points out gardeners should wait until Mothers Day for planting seedlings to be safe.

meteorologists are predicting a heavy monsoon this summer in Arizona. Maybe some of that will reach you. Over half of our moisture is delivered in July/August here.
Everything has greened up the last week here. The crab apple tree looks like it started blooming, so we'll have crab apples this year. We don't touch 'em but the squirrels seem to enjoy them.

Monsoons. Front Range Colorado occasionally experiences what is called an "Albuquerque Low". The thunderstorms get trapped against the Front Range and the rain is extreme. That is when the slot canyons flood. When the systems are really strong, flooding goes all the way into Nebraska along the South Platte River. Most of the year you can wade across the river.

If we don't get anymore snow storms, this should be a great year for plants and trees. Just what we need for a really dry fall fire season! Colorado is rarely "comfortable".
Been raining here lots and, for Texas, chilly. I like both. Come August we'll be praying for rain. As it is? I celebrate outdoor Masses on Sunday at the smaller mission, nice.

Yep, we're caught up (for now) with the rain. And everything is greening up/pollinating... I'm back to a yellow car unless I wash it regularly... sigh At least the mud out there isn't the south's notorious 'Red Clay' mud!
The pollen season isn't quite here - probably two weeks away.
