Seems the muse is AWOL again, or, my life is boring and
mundane. That said, this morning while
listening to the, Ladies of The Round Table, aka The Coven, one member said
something that stirred something inside me.
She is 82, her husband ran the service department of the oldest
car dealership in town, and this morning she said, “I am NOT a widow. My
husband has wings”.
I like that. She isn’t
letting grief control her, she is kicking grief’s ass.

Grief is a terrible thing.
The Coven lean on each other for support. That's one of the ways to beat it, or at the very least, to curb it.

I take part in those discussions and they help me cope with my own grief.
The grief we suffer now is a lot different than the grief we suffered as young men.
Glad you have a support group, WSF!

At my niece's insistence, I completed a six month program at our community grief center. It helped. The discussions at the ladies' table aren't nearly in depth.
Grief is like a cancer, gone unchecked it can destroy your body. I am glad you went to and compiled the grief center class and you have the old crowns to help out, too. They keep you being a cranky, pot stirring old fucker. Tell them Thank You from me.
