Mysterious drones have been appearing nightly around NE Colorado
for several weeks. No one seems to know who/what/why.
Reports have been coming in from Nebraska and Kansas.
We are hitting the big time with some national press. Are we
now the new Roswell? Speculation abounds.
Maybe LL can shed some light as he has a connection, or did
have, with drones. Probably OPSEC in his case.
Even our junior Senator is chiming in as the drone activity
is occurring around Yuma, CO, his home town.
Me personally? Haven’t a clue and am not losing sleep over
it.

Saw that, all these drones, swarming around. Maybe set up and take a few down with a 12? Just make sure you're invisible...

Not me. I'm terrible with a scattergun.
Our drones had internal turboprops and looked like flying disks. They were very loud, but looked more exotic than the unit pictured and flew semi-autonomously.

Though I'm not presently disposed to discuss the situation, Ashima Devices was born when the entire Planetary Science Department Staff at Cal Tech left the university to start a UAV company. Early in the youtube video, there's a photo of yours truly.
I don't know who made the video. I just found it when I did a quick search in the hopes of finding this to respond in your blog.

Your comment is serious while mine was more of "poking the bear" but thank you.
I'm waiting for a few of them to be shot down. When the owners complain, we'll start to learn the whole story.....
drjim
Probably.
Drjim is right. Get a few and see who squawks... :-)
What's a few FAA Regs anyway?
This brought back childhood memories. I was born in Alamosa, CO, in the San Luis Valley, and one of the top UFO sighting spots in the world.
My father was always certain the government was involved in the UFOs. In the mid-sixties, a picture was taken of one. I saw the picture as a child. In 1969 (age 10, still a child) I saw what looked to be the same thing -- the lunar landing module landing on the moon. Maybe my dad knew something.
I wonder about government agencies and/or be corporations in the area. Because drones come from somewhere.

Having spent time in the SLV and talked with long tie residents, I wouldn't discount any of it.
