You are entitled to your own opinion but
not your own facts. That said, all I know is what was reported in the local
rag.
One 17 year old girl dead.
The driver ran but left the front bumper
behind complete with a license plate.
Five car crash. Driver charged with a
DUI.
Not reported in the paper but heard from
another (unverified) source this isn’t the driver’s first rodeo.
This is not a lenient DUI county.
Doesn’t seem to have much deterrent
effect.
Two more senseless deaths from a nearby
town.
Hope I never get calloused about these
alcohol fueled incidents. Damn, I loath drunk drivers!

Yeah, I don't have much use for them later.
Every time I remember a time I shouldn't have been driving, I give a silent thanks that I never hurt anyone.
Amen, and that includes my sons.
Amen to that. NO patience with drunks OR the courts that let them off... dammit.
Or the bars that over serve them.
If you ask me, the proximate cause of drunk driving deaths are almost always the servers who pour drinks to patrons who drive to where the pouring is going on.
Every damn one of these pouring guys knows that likely nobody walked to their establishment, or very darn few.
Ban bars. And office parties. I'm not a tee-totaler, but if you want to drink, do it at home where you don't kill anybody.
