2006 URAL
Parked near my employers operation this afternoon. Stock except for the first aid kit on the sidecar.
I've seen the Ural motorcycles, and they're not horribly expensive. I don't know how they'd hold up and what problems you might face finding spare parts.
It IS a WW2 BMW! The Russians took home everything they could. Whole factories in some cases. They may have done some further engineering over the years, probably along the lines of enabling their tractor people to build and maintain them. Still, neat bikes!
It is a very fun ride, on Road, off-road and especially in the snow. Finding parts is not really a problem but it definitely helps to be a mechanic if you plan on owning one of these bikes. I'm the middle aged fool that owns this bike.

I know nothing about them. Found the design intriguing. Looks like a WWII BMW.

Sounded like a 2 cylinder John Deere tractor.
