Kind of wasted attached to a yuppie
scooter. Like the sentiment.
Westbound on I-70 on a Saturday morning.
How many are California transplants?
More bad news for the ‘Keep the Bastards
Out’ crowd.
What we need is another record breaking
Spring blizzard.

I was born in Gunnison. And I agree with your assessment... time for the assholes to go home.
I think the thing I hate the most, no matter which state I live in, is that the transplants move to the new state because they don't like things about the old state. Then, they work hard to make the new state just like the old one. What.
The.
Fuck.
Missionaries bringing enlightenment to the untutored heathens.
I'm sure at least half of the cars in the traffic jam hold occupants from somewhere else.
If not more.
If that's the Westbound traffic, maybe at least a few are leaving?
At least the UHauls.
Just south of you, New Mexico is #1 in unemployment. People are leaving in droves.....you're welcome to come on down! We rarely have the kind of traffic you show in your photo.
I moved here from Texas 20 years ago, and have seen NM deteriorate (as far as jobs) and succeed (in car thefts, we're currently #1). See? We're #1 in lots of things. Sigh.
In-laws in Albuquerque are selling out and relocating to Panama. I could live in Northern NM. Cimmaron, Eagle Nest, East of Raton. Lots of space, lots of privacy.
My youngest joined the Army at age 30. Living in Rio Rancho he couldn't find steady employment as a Master plumber and had a family to take care of.
Maybe the drop in unemployment is from the increase in pot farms. Gotta grow'em to smoke'em.
It is a "growth" industry.
Strange times out there...
I do have to say one thing. Colorado is topping the list of best states to live in. Maybe if you didn't advertise, they won't come. Or you could implement wind and isolation like Wyoming to keep them out.
Wyoming is a victim of geography. Nebraska sucks and Utah blows.
