Kansas, Oh Joy

My kind of trip. No drama, happy client, and hours of windshield time at xxx per mile. Sorry folks, but no matter how many times I've crossed Kansas on I-70, I can't warm up to the place. The speed limit was raised to 75 m.p.h. which, in theory, saves 24 minutes. Maybe so, if any construction project is every finished. I swear I saw a faded sign with the Peanut Farmer's name on it.

Ah yes, ongoing never ending road construction... And was that 384 miles to the next turn??? Beats the hell outta my 232 miles to the next turn! LOL Travel safe!

@ NFO. Yep, 384 miles. Not worth mentioning in Texas. The issue is speed - 60 mph. If the whole trip was at 60 mph instead of 75 mph, that adds an hour. Terrible headwind. Brings back memories of the f##cking Peanut Farmer and nationwide 55 mph.

Don't remind me... Jacksonville FL to San Francisco at 55 (more or less)...

@ NFO. With passengers, no doubt. Not a trip I would want to take.

Hated 55 mph - cost me serious time=money losses. Thank you Fuzzbuster - my kids didn't starve.
