Party hard and piss people off
Congresswoman Lauren Boebert (R) CO 4th always
offends the grievance crowd just by living. The latest grievance? Halloween
costume. Horror! Insensitive!
No links to the aggrieved parties-call it grievance
fatigue.
State Taxes
(P)regressives and bad tax policy, a perfect match. A
Democrat has been Colorado Governor since 2011 (the Bartender and the Emperor).
During that time the Democrats have held a majority, sometimes super majority, in
both the House and Senate.

Depending on the source, Colorado seems to be treading
water overall. What is clear, no mega investments have been made by businesses
moving to Colorado and the downtown Denver office space rental is flat lined.
Denver, as a city, is in the Democrat controlled downward spiral. Crime, “un-housed”,
drugs, and police defunding are clear reasons.
Without TABOR we would be California 2.0.

Can’t Fix Stupid
Colorado did achieve a #1 rating in the USA.
Alas, EV punchases.MORE
Emperor Polis and cronies continue to subsidies EV
purchases with tax credits; taxes not collected so we, all residents, get to
help virtue posers pose.
Winter is coming and with that, limited range in cold
temperatures. Fun times, should you decide to drive to the ski areas. Fun, fun,
fun sitting in one of these jams while watching your range dropping.
This should be a good season for tow truck drivers and
roadside assistance operators.
In other news, Colorado is #2 in the nation for car
insurance premiums. Cause and effect?
Statewide, law enforcement is stepping up enforcement of
expired license plates/tabs, fake plates, temporary plates, and uninsured
motorists. Some estimates are 1/3 of vehicles on Colorado roads are uninsured.
This emphasis is recent.
No data has been released as to how many uninsured motorists are "undocumented".
Xcel
Continuing last blog Xcel Smart Meter post, this little
snippet is from a new email.
“as we work toward our vision of providing 100% carbon-free
electricity by 2050”.
Thrilling! I get to continue funding social warrior’s wet
dreams. Will I live long enough to see carbon-free electricity? If I live to be
105, then yes.
A further question is who will pay for all the increased
demand AI centers will require?
One answer the environazis will hate is coal.

Darn shame there aren't huge coal, petroleum and uranium deposits just one state north of you folks stuck there in Colorful Colorado.
Oh, wait......
Just terrible. Even worse all the coal, uranium and petroleum deposits in Colorado. Spent my young teens in Routt County, CO. There was core drilling near Mt Harris that indicated coal deposits went down nearly 5,000' per some of the drillers. The new Chimney Rock reservoir near Ft Collins needs areas sealed with clay because of the uranium deposits found during construction.
Ya know, 'most' folks stop digging when they get 'that' deep in a hole...
Heard about a man who kept digging because his metal detector kept beeping. An acquaintance asked him if he had steel toed safety boots.
I did not know that about the coal and uranium in Colorado. Thanks.
W.W.W. At one time there were 1,000 uranium mines in Colorado. On the far West side of the state is the Uravan belt near Naturita. Much of the uranium made into atomic bombs was mined there. The county where I live, Weld is the 8th largest petroleum producing county in the country and account for about 80% of the gas and oil produced in Colorado. The general field is called the Wattenberg field. Colorado is ranked #4 in the country for oil and gas production which drives the environazis crazy. Northwest Colorado has vast deposits of oil shale, mainly in Rio Blanco county (Rangley - Meeker). Extracting it remains a big problem.
The Wattenberg Field is also called the DJ Basin.
I'm not sure which is more common.
DJ Basin is generally more used. Wattenberg Field less so. More amongst those not in the industry.
