Politics and Money
Do politicians spend more time raising money than dealing with their elected positions? Do they start out idealists and become corrupted by the system? Or, are they simply into politics for what is in it for them?

As Elon Musk and the DOGE continue to uncover the swamp, IMO, a serious look at how people get elected needs to be examined. Hopefully, despite human nature, a better way may be found. Term limits? Limited campaign time?
In Colorado, we have several examples of incumbents running for reelection. Once reelected, they resign and their successor is picked by committee, not the voters. Stinks, IMO. Looking at you, Demorats.

My late brother the body shop/mechanic/used car salesman etc was quite fond of the movie Used Cars also. I personally think it was one of Kurt Russell’s finest performances. One of my brothers favorite sayings after selling a car was “is this a good car? Well I looked it over utilizing all of my accumulated knowledge, and it appears to be to me. However it could break in half on the way home, But the good news is that you will own both halves!” F Hubert

Great movie. Then there's politicians. And forgive my ignorance, but it seems odd that Colorado should be held hostage by leftists.

Lets fact the FACTS! And wake up tp the reality that the majority of Americans who voted for President Trump did so because of the MAGA vision of a strong, secure, free America that offers maximum liberty, options, choices,free speech, and the opportunity for prosperity for all.
That is what is normal America used to offer to us Americans . And we are seeing that opportunity once againh now that Donald J. Trump is President.
So far the cabinet President Trump has been putting together are all committed to that same vision, but wow, they sure are causing a lot of heads to explode. Nevertheless Trump is moving forward to make the MAGA vision a reality and is putting together the most unusual, interesting, unexpected and unlikely team in American history to accomplish it.
I am a bit curious if the most of the hard core left aren't at least a little bit curious and interested in how this will all work out. I sure am, and I am ver anxious to see that vision come true. .
What does a normal America look like to you? Is the Biden Administration agenda and results what you lefties think should be normal? Are you happy that such a large percentage of Americans have their heads below water because of what Joe Biden did to this country? Are you ok with the fact that the world has 2 major wars going on and hundreds of thousands of people are being killed? Are you ok with the Crime going on in American and all thoses Major stores are closing up because of the Crime, and the Shop-lifting going on in our streets and in our Subways? Are you happy that America is no longer respected the way we used to be, and that other countries and world leaders don’t fear our Millitary anylonger? Or are you willing to give the “MAGA Team” the majority of voters voted for a chance? Asnd for a change in our Leadership!
Setting aside the talking points above, partisan rhetoric and propaganda, aren't you a little “More” hopeful that the MAGA agenda, the MAGA team heading government, the resolve to make America Great Again, will yield good things? Or are you hoping it fails as it was just a few weeks ago??
Donald Trump, the so called "Hitler Reincarnated, Fascist, the greatest existential threat to our Democracy we have ever faced’ Has done Miraculous Things to the United States in only ONE SHORT MONTH! American’s are Excited, Enthusiastic, and Supportive Toward Trump’s Incoming Agenda and Leadership Team for the First Time EVER!
We now have an Adminstration that we can be proud of. No longer the Stupid Un-Qualified, Inept- bunch od Clowns are running this country! We are not putting those peopl in those very important positions just because they are Women, or Blacks, or Transies! But because they are Pro’s and Qualified People!
I can now see that the United States Military going back to our original standards for people to make it past the 8 Weeks of Boot Camp. No more easy going, because those original standards were the ones that made the United States defeat the Nazis in Germany and the Japanese. No more Cross Dressing Clowns, no more beta males, and if women cannot pass those standards, then so be it. The United States will once again have the Greatest Military in the World, and all the Axis of Evils will not try any of their Crap with the United States anymore!
Pete Hegseth will indeed get rid of all the DEI Social experiments and restore the military to a battle ready force that serves as a deterrent to hostilities. Everybody will know it won't be required to fight a "Politically Correct" war and can and will quickly and decisively defeat anybody who dares to challenges it.
And I believe that America is on right track to Making America Great Again.
