Old Thresher Days

Yuma, CO is a three stoplight town in Eastern Colorado perhaps best known as the hometown of Colorado's junior Senator, Cory Gardner (R). Over the years the local residents have salvaged old buildings, machinery, and equipment from the early homestead era and assembled it all at a fairgrounds. Admission is free. I enjoyed a good day there and snapped a few photos.

The usual artillery piece of which I'm clueless.

A different dairy.

Other than my knees, another reason I don't ride a horse.

A few tractors.

Stack may not be O.E.M.
Lots of machinery.

Something for the antique enthusiast.
And draft horses!

The gentlemen above somewhat spoils the effect with his tablet holster.

My first fair.

Want some ice cream?

More to come in a post tomorrow. Hope to upload a short video.

Thanks for the comment. A couple of the bars are :interesting" and there are several local musicians who are very good.

I would love to see this, I love the old stuff... and being free is a great incentive, too.

Free appeals to me.
