UP 4014 Missing Videos

Well, this is messed up, but with my Luddite skills, this is as good as it gets. These were taken with a Cisco Flip phone left running while I used a camera. It was snowing, but I'm not sure what is snow, and what is static.

The UP keeps working, and this mixed freight was EB our of Laramie climbing Sherman Hill. Five diesel electrics. I'm not enough of a rail fan to tell you if they are A/C or D/C motive power. They certainly are working hard.

Nice videos, and great example of doppler! :-) Definitely a different 'tone' to the steam whistle!

Really cool. Sending the link to my son, who loves trains. :)

I liked the whistle tone. They must have found a way to use air from the brake system for the whistle. I imagine when they have live steam, it will be louder.

Glad you liked them. Your son can follow the whole process on the UP Facebook page.

Liked the videos too! I've always been a train nut. Before moving to Florida I had an average sized layout I built. It was one of my pressure releases ;-) All based on the Chessie system.

We downsized our home considerable when we moved to Florida and sold all my pieces off before moving down here....at times I miss it but, we no longer have the room.

That would be fun. Never had the fine motor skills needed for model building (or the patience).

Now....I didn't say I was GOOD at it!! ;-) But I did enjoy it. There's some folks out there, in that hobby, that are artist!!

I've seen a few. Pure envy here.
