Several
cousins and one aunt belong to an organization, “Sisters on the Fly.”
These ladies
buy, then fix up, older small travel trailers. They have organized outings and
events, and, from what I’m told, have a lot of fun. Earlier this week I visited
a cousin where a camper is being restored.
To look like these.
To look like these.
Bravo, and
more power to them! I’m just wondering how unwise it may be to refer to them
as, “The Estrogen Horde”.

One of the more educational channels on my satellite system did a bit about these ladies on a show about RVing.
We traded the motor home we had for a more stationary "park model" camper that we leave permanently parked at a campground.
I've been seriously considering doing what these ladies do so that I can go back to camping at the veteran reunions like I used to do with the motor home.
I seem to be snakebit when it comes to RVs. Now it is a sleeping bag on a foam pad in the pickup bed.
WSF,
If you have to ask if something is a "good idea" you should already have an idea of the answer to that questions. You might be safe on this blog since I don't believe that the aunts & cousins read your blog. Proceed at your own risk & peril. I AM INNOCENT in this situation.

Nah, they will just laugh (I hope).
"I seem to be snakebit when it comes to RVs."
I understand. We enjoyed our motor homing. But it certainly isn't for everybody and it isn't exactly a cheap thing to do.
We got rid of our motor home as it started to become a money pit when it started to get long in the tooth. And, for this old truck driver sometimes, it was a bit of a bus man's holiday at times.
Most days I don't miss it a bit but, there are days I'd like to do a trip.....
When I win the Lottery.

Yeah, I don't think "I" would say that... All they'd find of me would be scraps... And concur on the Earth Roamer!
There probably will be a future reckoning. Then again, they know I am a member in good standing of the, "Hey,you all, watch this" club.
Those Earthroamers are assembled about 16 miles from my place.
