I fixed that problem with my hot rod. My 72 Maverick is reliably powered by Chevrolet! Built Ford Tough With Chevy Stuff!

@ Scotty. Two Towncars, over 500,000 miles. Current 1996 Escort, 192,000 miles. Every GM product I've owned has been a maintenance headache; mainly electrical.

Had a few Mopars, 1970's stuff. Spent close to three years test driving preproduction ones two years ago for Roush. Other than the Challenger, not impressed.

So happy you are a regular reader.

@ Sisty. And I will keep getting bruised. Just remember, I poke back; often with pinpoint precision!

Although it's true about the Maverick...I LOVE to prod Ford folks with that fact.

I have no problem with FoMoCo. I've owned several over the years. One of my dream cars is a Shelby Mustang....that's about it'll ever be!

I bought the Maverick that way, always liked the style of them. Although it's now in pieces all over the garage, with all the glass hidden behind the living room couch! I'm still amazed that the wife let me get away with that one!

Also, I'll forever respect FoMoCo for not taking any bail out money!!
