Denver Summer Afternoon

Flying onto Denver late summer afternoons can be real interesting.

Sorry for the quality of the cell phone snap. Next phone upgrade will include a better camera function.

Beautiful clouds though, you have to admit.

It is a beautiful place to live and I enjoy the clouds except when I am a pass anger in an airplane. The place can brew extreme weather and some scary rides.

That and 5200 feet up to start with, and density altitudes that approach 7000 feet in the summer, add in a little turbulence and the rides "DO" get interesting... especially in the front, much less in the back of the bus!

Old NFO Day like this when I took my Commercial check ride in a 100 hp C150. 82 degrees at 9,000 AGL. Two large men aboard; just 200 lbs under gross. THAT was an interesting two hours! Think I passed because he didn't want to repeat the test.

I hate to break it to you GFILE, but camera functions on cell phones are pretty limited. They take pictures and videos. That's about it. About the only thing you can look forward to in an upgrade when it comes to the camera is a slight increase in megapixels.

Correction. Test took place at 9,000 ASL.
