Prop 112 is a ballot initiative the
envirowhacos managed to get on the state ballot. Calls for set backs on oil
wells that will almost end oil wells in Colorado. If you are interested.
Oil revenues fund a great deal of
Colorado’s public education is several different ways.
As an aside, Rangley, CO High School has
a productive oil well on the school grounds. The other Northwest schools envy
their activity buses and snazzy sports team uniforms.
Depending on the source, Weld County accounts for 89% of all
crude oil production and 33% of natural gas production in Colorado. Few votes "for" in Weld County is a safe bet.
