Had a nice blog started. The computer swallowed it and I can't recover it. Back to work, standby.
OLD AGE AND TREACHERY WILL OVERCOME YOUTH AND SKILL. And on the eighth day God said, "Okay, Murphy, you're in charge!" The mind says, "Age is just a number". The 81 year old body says, "You are an idiot". Anonymous comments will not be posted.

The Colorado Way
The article, in the “nonpartisan” The Colorado Sun, doesn’t mention those clean energy targets were imposed by the Front Range liberals and mountain trust fund snots (some overlap) against the interests of rural Colorado.
A fine example of OUR DEMOCRACY majority fucking over minorities, IMO
Car Sales
Having spent many years retailing cars, truck, and utility trailers I like to watch YouTube videos. This guy has 43 years in the business, he says, and gives you great advice. He also has a business you can click on.
The cynical old car dog in me thinks he has found a way to make money without the bother of a car lot or meeting the great unwashed in person. YMMV
Apathy
Is it surprising elected officials care more about their donors and less about “the people”?

Wolf at Your Door?
Recently a Sundance range rider was hit by a stray bullet. Entered his neck, went through his lungs, and is still lodged in his chest cavity. He didn’t realize what happened and continued to work. After awhile others realized he was hurt and he ended up in a Rapid City, SD hospital for a few days. Discharge instructions.
He’s supposed to “take it easy” for the next
two weeks, after which he can ride a horse - if it’s a broke horse - he
recalled from talks with his doctor.
Never
ending econazi efforts
We can take it as a given the Governor and deep blue Democrats won’t lift a finger to support the citizens living in the area.
Wolves
Why yes, WSF is still talking about wolves.Local Politics
Home city elected positions are officially non partisan. I strive to be an informed voter and need to decide which one gets my vote. Mayor. One, male, has been in politics forever and has been a city councilman and county commissioner. He is what I call a country club republican. That is not all that bad because he has many contacts and years of involvement in local issues. My problem is that I don’t like country club republicans in general.Inflation

Points of View
I See Some Merit
We should recognize the old, “what goes around comes around” , pearl of wisdom. ICE methods today may be used by Democrats in the future. I see some merit, out of thousands of arrests, a few can be cherry picked as wrong.
Other consequences, good or bad depending on your point of view, the Denver Public Schools report a sharp decline in enrollment.
The article is behind a pay wall.
DPS warns of financial
"catastrophe" after unexpected enrollment drop, possible funding
cuts. DPS is down 1,200 students — mostly immigrant children
who had offset the impact of falling birth rates — and, in turn, will receive
$18.5 million less annually in per-pupil funding.
My Bad
$40 poorer after receiving a speeding ticket from a speed trap. WCR 49 is a four lane connector between I-76 and US 34. Traveling North, the speed limit goes from 65 to 55 and then 45 as you approach US 34. The Town of Kersey has an automated radar/photo setup as a revenue generator. I was caught doing 57 just where the limit becomes 45. The good news is the ticket doesn’t go on my driving record. As always, YMMV

Moving On
Unqualified big rig drivers are in the news every day. Safety is the reason.
Even Blue Colorado is on board.
The cynic in me says it is a job nobody wants being done by people nobody else will hire.
I’m sure DOT under Sean Duffy is working on ways to go after the employers. That is the root of the problem, IMO.
Drivers? They must be able to understand enough English to read road signs, do logbooks, and safety checks. What is harder to overcome is their attitudes. They don’t respect the way this country operates and our laws and regulations. Outlaw attitude.
Are there a lot of stupid rules? Of course, government at its finest.
While other members of Congress have supported
bills related to CDL regulation or the trucking industry, Senator Tester is the
only one publicly identified as holding one. It is possible that other members
have CDLs that are not publicly known.
The country needs those big rigs rolling. Legal immigrants, properly trained, should be welcomed, IMO.
Oh the Humanity! Green Welfare gone?
Blue Colorado is fighting back. How many Democrat voters will this impact?
Precedent
Does the military belong on USA streets enforcing laws? Slippery slope.(Shown, MacArthur lead troops dispersing the Bonus Army).
AI Overview
The Bonus Army was a movement of ~20,000 to 40,000 unemployed World War I veterans and their families who marched to Washington, D.C., in 1932 demanding early payment of their World War I service bonuses, known as the "Tombstone Bonus," which were set to be paid in 1945. After Congress refused to pass a bill for immediate payment, President Hoover ordered the U.S. Army, led by General Douglas MacArthur, to forcibly disperse the veterans in July 1932, using tear gas and violence to burn their camps.
PDJT declares Antifia a terrorist organization. Does he have the authority? Probably not .
Being a true old fart (eight decades on this planet) with a long memory, I know Presidential Executive orders were once rare. Now they are common. Depending on your political slant, you may find them wonderful, or you may find them abhorrent. In any case, my grandchildren’s future will likely be governed by them. That gate will be hard to close.
At the moment, PDJT is seeking War Power from Congress. Will he get it? If not, will he go ahead anyway?
As Always, YMMV
