Before falling into the car biz in 1986, I was involved in UBC compliant modular housing and prefabricated wooden buildings. I’ve never lost my interest. Now there is something new that is occurring in my town.
3D printing concrete construction. A company is locating here and collaborating with our local community college. I see a lot of benefits with building this way.

Everywhere I see new residential construction, I see OSB sheeting. Rarely do I see plywood sheeting on traditional exterior stud wall construction. I question the long term life of OSB and the quality of the product.
With all the wildfires we have in Colorado, concrete structures make sense as they are practically fireproof. Roofs are another matter. Proper roofing materials and eave protection are viable options.
Granted, the quality of the concrete is important. Since the premix will nearly always be local, the methods to insure proper mix are in place. Enforcement? The human element comes into play.
Usually my post involve politics but, on occasions, I post something I find of interest.

While not 3D printed my sister lives in a poured concrete house in Cape Coral FL, right across the river where hurricane Ian came ashore. Her home's damage consisted of one lost shingle and a bent mailbox post where a car blew into it. If 3D printed homes are anywhere close to that level of damage resistant I could definitely see a future for them. Of course as you say a lot depends on the quality of the concrete. Since I live in an are where forest fires occur I would certainly be a fan.

It is hard to beat solid concrete properly done. Concrete tilt up walls have been in use for industrial buildings for decades and seem to work well. I've seen many cinder block houses over the years that have aged well. Glad your sister's home wasn't destroyed.
You might be interested in ICF (insulated concrete form) construction. Lots of videos on YouTube. Several form manufacturers give seminars to DIY home builders. As Mr. Campbell says above, very durable. Also quiet, maintain interior temperature well, and highly bullet resistant. It's our choice for our next house.
One was recently constructed next door. Very interesting and I can see the merit. While being constructed it was hit by a micro burst. Search my blog for "Well, Shucky Darn" for pictures.

We had some concrete homes (both block and poured), along with some steel homes, where I grew up.

Whole sections of Montbello (Denver Suburb) are of tilt up construction. Most homes seem to be standing the test of time.

But then, when Biden took office, and reversed all that, he gave them $150 Million, and he gave Iran 6 Billion to Iran and here we are in todays mess.
