A Christmas Poem
From my friend Hal Swift, Nevada Poet
Christmas is a Birthday Party
R. H.Swift
12/17/87
Christmas is a birthday party
we celebrate every year.
And happy invitations call
our guests from far and near.
The party held in Bethleham
found shepherds the first to go.
Then wise men followed, gifts in hand,
to worship in the glow.
This Christmas, too, we celebrate,
sing carols of peace on earth.
Just as the joyful angels did
the night of Jesus' birth.
Christmas is a birthday party,
and you are invited in...
to celebrate with grateful joy
God's wondrous gift again.
~~~
Just a note to wish you
the MERRIEST CHRISTMAS
and HAPPIEST NEW YEAR
ever.
