A recent picture he sent. I'm happy he has decent quarters. Look at the condition of his issued weapon. Looks battered. I know he maintains it diligently. Note the carabineer on the butt stock. As a medic, he needs his hands free. Must work better than a sling. Damn, that M4 looks crappy.

It looks like a typical M4 that's seen use in combat... Pretty is not a consideration. I like the tie off on the Aimpoint, so it can be dumped and the BUIS used if the battery dies. Also, the tape allows for quick ID from the side of friendly forces. Thoughts and prayers will continue till he comes home!
He looks good. There's just never enough protective gear, is there?

suz ...never enough of anything when it comes to my children! He wears everything they give him. Both his wife and I think he looks great but we may be a tad biased.
As long as his weapon works who cares what it looks like! From what I understand (which is limited to what he tells me) he hasn't had to use it in a combat situation as of yet. Personally I hope he never does! But more importantly....at least he's looking gorgeous as always!!! Roughly 5 more months til he comes home!
