I See Some Merit
We should recognize the old, “what goes around comes around” , pearl of wisdom. ICE methods today may be used by Democrats in the future. I see some merit, out of thousands of arrests, a few can be cherry picked as wrong.
Other consequences, good or bad depending on your point of view, the Denver Public Schools report a sharp decline in enrollment.

It is a city revenue gimmick that probably wouldn't stand a court challenge. My lawyer's "brother-in-law" minimum is $500.
We were out your way Saturday. Went to see all the improvements that my son has done to his house. I'm always VERY wary about all the small towns out here. "I Remember...." some small towns in Illinois were the same.
Yep, nothing more than a revenue generator... And too bad, so sad about the schools...LOL
I'm always careful in small towns and not because of tickets. Respect for the residents. This trap is on a four lane divided highway with no crossroads.
There was a time Denver schools were admired. Decades of financial misadventures have nearly bankrupted them.
We have some of those in Texas. Twenty years ago we were living near a town that some officers were giving tickets for 1 mph over the posted speed.
I am not unhappy that 169,000 illegal aliens in Colorado have concerns. For too long the Federal Government and some local governments have not cared a wit about illegal immigration. Those illegals need to go back to their countries of origin and immigrate legally but only if they want to be Americans and not hyphenated Americans that are more loyal to their country of origin.
I would like to see those business owners who knowingly employee illegals to be deported along with them.
My speedometer was certified as one or two MPH over in the small Colorado town of Hugo several years ago by a sawed-off little runt in a po-lease costume about a hundred yards short of exiting the city limits. Sawed-off little runts wearing a po-lease costume are the worst in my experience and he lived down to my expectations. But he was content to gnaw on my hindquarters for ten minutes in lieu of writing a ticket, so maybe I should be grateful. He certainly seemed to think so. I wanted to ask him if perhaps he was truant from the junior high skool that day, but somehow kept my mouth shut.
Trump Derangement Syndrome: What’s Going On?
In today’s ultra-polarized world, for some people on the LEFT, is just hearing the word “Trump” sparks instant extreme fierceness, rage or even violence. Doesn’t matter what he does, it could be good, bad, or in-between the reaction is the same: “He’s evil. He’s a threat. He must be stopped.-, in any way, shape, or form!”
That’s where the term Trump Derangement Syndrome comes in, a shorthand label to describe people who overreact to everything Trump-related.
But is it real? Definitely not! Or just another way to shut people up?
IT’S JUST ANOTHER WAY OF THEIR OBSURB WAY OF THINKING!
However, sometimes that means believing things simply because an authority or peer group expects us to. a PERFECT EXAMPLE WOULD BE His accomplishments of Yesterday!
He Did what othe American Presidents tried, but couldn’t do in the past several DECADES!
“If you don’t hate Trump, you’re a strange person.“Everyone around me agrees — I must be right.” So he must be dangerous, or at least detrimental
“If I question this, people will turn on me.”
That’s not critical thinking that’s social survival. Some people even call hi “Hitler” or a “Dictator” or even worse. So I think that I should at lest “Hate”him!
How Assigned Opinions Lead to TDS
Here’s how the cycle from the swamp works:
. You hear the same anti-Trump takes everywhere. You stop questioning.
Emotions replace facts. Anger and disgust take over. Debate shuts down.
It’s now “Us against. Them” Everyone who disagrees is now “the enemy” or mentally ill.
Hillary Clinton, and Joe Biden Both said that ALL of his Supporters are “Hateful”
The label “TDS” appears. Suddenly, any criticism of Trump gets dismissed as “crazy.”
It becomes a loop: tribal loyalty, outrage , no debate , more tribal loyalty.and you can add to this that All of the people that support him, and voted for his are Sickos.
This isn’t just about Trump. This is about how we talk, think, and treat all people in the opossing party . We stop listening. Anyone who disagrees is written off as “Nuts.” or “the Enemy”!
We stop thinking. Beliefs become automatic — no reflection, no nuance.
We escalate conflict. Instead of talking, we label and cancel.
We pathologize disagreement. When you treat opposition as mental illness, you open the door to censorship and control.
He accomplished somthing yesterday that Nobody ever did before but he’s still the Enemy! And he must have had some weird and personal reason for doing what he did.
. You can dislike Trump’s style and still agree with some of his policies. That’s okay.
Feel your feelings — but don’t let them lead you down some unknown and STUPID path!. Emotions matter, but facts should guide the conversation.
Bottom Line: Don’t Let Labels Do the Thinking for You
Calling someone “deranged” isn’t an argument; it’s a shortcut. Calling them “Hitler” is even worse, and make you even Dumber!
When we let assigned opinions, names, and emotional reactions dictate our actions, we lose our ability to think freely. And once that’s gone, democracy is on thin ice.
So take a breath. Ask hard questions. And don’t be afraid to stand out from the herd.
Think first. React later. Think about all of the Thousands of people and Politicians that changed their Party, and Voted for him during the last election. Think of what may have happened if Kamala had won! How many of those Foreign Leaders would have gone along with her? I expect NONE!
PS.. Trump is NOT "Going After" his enemies.
W.W.W. Ah, Hugo's finest. Hwy 287 from the Oklahoma line to I-70 is one long speed trap. Campo funds their city budget with traffic fines. Drive by the Springfield airport at your peril. The State Patrol sits at the bottom of the hill coming towards I-70.
