Air Force Mittens

A post for one of my favorite bloggers. No NCOs in the vicinity.

Circa 1965 on the banks of the Rhine river across from Oppenheim at the place Patton's 3rd Army crossed in WWII and Patton famously relieved himself.

That 2 1/2 is carrying  the stern part of a 27' Bridge Erection Boat.

The soldier on the left is wearing the now unauthorized "Ridgeway" cover while the other three the newly required, and universally loathed, baseball beanie cover.
