The winters are not for the faint of heart. During the day, the sun warms the pavement just enough to melt some of the blowing snow. Sun goes down, snow covered black ice. Clear nights, -30 or worse. Blizzards can last for days.
Yep, that last one is beautiful! Looks much the same at sea on a clear night! :-)
