No Good Deed Goes Unpunished

Prior to the expected storm, I relocated my truck to make it easier for the snow plow operators.

The snow was still wet and heavy so I was able to clear the driver side rear enough to get out. Later, when it freezes, it would be a real challenge. Too bad I didn’t have someone to video this obese 76 year old body climbing in from the passenger side. YouTube material.

Now the truck is parked in a spot the #%&$*$’s will have to work around. With less snow expected, I should be ok tomorrow.

I really don’t want to go anywhere today.

  1. Glad you got at least 'some' of it off... And the meme is hilarious!

  2. Meme came from a cousin's wife. Right now the town kids are out sliding down the hill. 30° and 20 mph wind. Ah, youth!

  3. Two of our neighbors were out with their snowblowers, and did everybody's sidewalk. One of them has a big 24" one like I'm going to get, and he plowed a lane down the cul-de-sac in four passes so he could get out.

When I had the electric blower, I'd do as much sidewalk as I could before the batteries gave out. In "normal" snow, I could get the neighbors on both sides, but stuff like this was too deep, and I had to make a double-pass with it, which meant I barely got one pass of only our sidewalk before the batteries went flat.

Love the meme. I'm swiping it!

  4. We will probably have one more winter storm. I just hope it hits before all the plants and trees start opening. Mid to late April snow storms are incredible destructive.

  5. Yeah, last year's storm/freeze knocked all the buds off the crab apple and maple trees. I really missed the blooms on the crab apple. Prettiest tree we have, now short some small-to-medium branches....

  7. Snow's exciting and adventurous if you don't get it much. I know this. Mid March? Since November? Not so much. I applaud your fortitude!

March blizzards are expected. The ones in April are the killers. Altitude is a large factor. You get rain. We get snow.
