Hear A Train Coming II

Wyoming springtime! The highway past Tie Siding, WY we drove on yesterday is closed this afternoon due to a blizzard.

Snarky to say, but pilgrims from warm climes have problems with the cold, just saying.

  1. I think yesterday was the first time I noticed the 'snow gates' on the 287. Our first trip out here took us up to the Terry Bison Ranch, and I was surprised to see the snow gates on I-25 and I-80 just outside Cheyenne.

And we were cold Sunday morning, but at least we didn't get rained or snowed on.

Guess we still have Kalifornia 'thin blood'.....

  2. Didn't help being around 7,500" ASL. Living/traveling in the Rockies I've been in snowstorms every month of the year. Not every year, but live here long enough and you will.

My maternal grandfather was found of saying, "I don't care if you go naked, take all the clothes you own".
