Two days ago, 79 degrees. Today, snowing. Forecast low tonight, 22 degrees.
From my natural gas heating bill.
This year, 43 Therms Used, Average daily temperature 39 degrees.
Last year, 12 Therms Used, Average daily temperature 54 degrees.
Today, studded tires are prohibited. Yeah, bite me!
Seems the jet stream has drifted South.
The good news is the snow is very moist and will ease the drought, for now.
Colorado is schizophrenic in voting AND weather. Gotta love springtime in the Rockies. We will be praying for some of this cold in July or August when it is extremely damned warm". That's HOT to the uninitiated.
ReplyDeleteSisty
It's all globull warming's fault... :-P
ReplyDeleteI am appreciating a 'real' spring in Oregon this year. But I still miss Colorado, weird weather or not. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd this morning it is clear and sunny. Next week will probably want the swamp cooler. We need to get this global warming under control - not.
ReplyDeleteSpringtime in the PNW - beautiful. Snowball bushes and Rhodys in bloom.
Studded snow tires? I didn't know they still made those things!
ReplyDelete@ Scotty. Costs about $20 a tire to have them added. Can be used (in CO) Nov-April. I run Mud+Snow year around as I drive on lots of rural county roads.
DeleteBeen watching your snow on the TV.
ReplyDeleteI could actually use some more snow up here in the Fornicalia Sierra Nevadas. We are at 17% of last year's snowfall and we likely won't receive any more snow.

@BZ. Ouch! Hope you get a lot of rain, or your fire season will be even more dangerous.
