Crazy State

Saturday needed the car a/c. Saturday night 7" of heavy freezing snow. Yesterday 18°. This afternoon 44°, clear, and sunny.

Per normal, the mountain passes were closed from time to time due to idiots spinning out. Smiling, I sat in my warm apartment sipping coffee and looking at CDOT cameras.

Yup. The dog didn't even want to go out yesterday. Had to almost toss her out the first time.

The only "snow gauge" I have is the flat glass to on the little patio table, and we had a good 6" on it Sunday morning. The driveway and sidewalks melted off by noon, so I didn't need the snow blower, which isn't here yet.....

That is a good way to enjoy the winter... but you also have to drive in it, plus cross mountains and stuff.

My days of crossing the divide for employment is over. Shame because I can make a grand a month for just a few days effort. Money isn't everything.

I'll do Wyoming blizzards but not dumb shit California transplants (sorry drjim, don't see you as a dumb shit driver) cluttering I-70 and US 40.

Don't know about smart. Do know old and stove up and in no shape to walk off a mountain.
