Peoples Republik of Boulder

Social justice warriors rejoice. You can take your blankie to Boulder and feel safe. Plus, there is a coffee shop in every block where you can get your soothing beverage of choice.

Good to see the County Commissioners spending time on such important issues since they can’t be bothered with gridlock, the homeless population, little affordable housing, Byzantine building and land use codes, crime, opiate addiction, and illegal dumping off county roads.

Appearance over substance, Boulder County leads the way and the prairie dogs rejoice!

I read the article and their description of the sign, to wit:“This space respects all aspects of people including race, ethnicity, gender expression, sexual orientation, socio-economic background, political affiliation, age, religion, body shape, size and ability.” I wonder if that tolerance extends to a Republican who wants to exercise Second Amendment rights to carry a (licensed) exposed firearm?

Only if said Republican wants to create a shit storm. Let me know, I want to tape it for YouTube.

I only wanted to know if the big tent extended to somebody who thought differently than they do in their effort to be "tolerant".

Surely you must know that is a rhetorical question. Boulder is a bastion for smugness and hypocrisy.

Sounds like a good place to NOT go to once we move to Fort Collins/La Porte/Bellvue.

Boulder, being a college town, brings in some entertainers I would like to see. The place is a nightmare to drive in and expensive if you get caught by all the traffic cameras. Unless I have specific business I avoid the place. The 2nd city in the county, Longmont, isn't much better.

“This space respects all aspects of people including race, ethnicity, gender expression, sexual orientation, socio-economic background, political affiliation, age, religion, body shape, size and ability.” as long as you think and talk like I do. No pro Trump shit allowed. But it is CO, so I think the old paranoia that accompanies toking is active, too.

Half the county is baked and has been for decades.

When I don't have anything to write about, Boulder often come through. Extends to CU-Denver where I was trying to finish a BA Business. One class I took was taught by Pat Schroeder who went on to be a Vice President candidate. Off in left field even then but a decent pilot (raised in an aviation family).

I am not a fan of Boulder anymore since California moved in. It used to be a nice town.

Not just CA. Trust funders from both coasts plus Chicago. When you drive there you can almost see the smugness. Kind of like smog.
