Right and Proper Thunderstorm

Typical Front Range Thunderstorm this evening. Thunder and lightning at all guardant, a ten minute burst of rain, and now the storm is moving east.

The doors and windows are open, the fresh, clean air is blowing through the house, and the cat has come out of hiding. Tis’ a privilege to live in Colorado.

Nice, crisp 68 degree morning with about 50% cloud cover. Probably thunderstorms this afternoon.

Nice morning, hot mug of coffee, door open to the fresh clean air. An invitation to visit friends in the High Rockies this weekend. I'll take these moments as the come and enjoy them. In 90 days you can be laughing at me while I dig out from a blizzard!

I love a good thunderstorm. It brings back memories of sitting on my grandfathers lap and watching them from the porch of his home.

We are getting a lot of flash flooding in areas that have seen fires. One recently closed Interstate 70 near Debeque (Mile Marker 72 - numbers start at the Utah line). Bad fire in that area last year. A major state highway going West out of Colorado Springs has had several closures this year.

On the other hand, the hail claims keep my sister, the insurance adjuster, busy.
