US Army Float Bridge - Germany - 1965

A friend asked me to post these on my blog. Sorry for the quality. They are 46 years old. Damn, I hated those baseball caps.

I always regarded it as a job of work. Nothing an old ranch kid couldn't handle. Our power boats were keel cooled. Sometimes the rivers were so cold the engines wouldn't get warm enough. We didn't have thermostats, More than once I fabricated restrictors out of odds and ends. The mechanics would get all shitty. It did make me appreciate what our troops did in WWII on the same ground!

Understood WSF- Like those pre-flights in Greenland at 60+ below... WORK... And that had to be interesting to be able to work the same ground and see that history up close.
